This property is located right beside the water on a quiet creek of the River Fowey. From the main rooms and the garden there are lovely views over the creek. Granny's Well is perfect for anyone wanting to bring their own boat or kayak which can be easily launched outside the property at high tide. Surrounded by the owners' large gardens and Cornish countryside it is a lovely place to relax, birdwatch or fish. Grannys Well is also within easy reach by car of the beaches at Lantic, Lanivet and Lansallos coves and Fowey is just two miles away via the Bodinnick Ferry. Granny's Well is joined to the owners' own holiday accommodation (not in constant residence) but totally self-contained.

Please note, due to the water frontage and a pond within the grounds, the property does not accept bookings with babies or children under the age of 8.

Great out of the way location with direct creek access, good for boating and some fantastic local walks.

Mr S,

An ideal "getaway" location.

Mr Christopher P,

Mixtow is a tiny hamlet overlooking the river and the town of Fowey.  It is a peaceful rural retreat tucked away in the countryside - a true Cornish getaway!  Its tranquil setting offers beautiful countryside views, and means you can switch off your phone and put away your laptop, and just unwind in a quiet little hamlet by the sea.

Close by is The Old Ferry Inn, a pub dating back to the 17th century, with good food and a hearty welcome - just the thing after a bracing walk.

There are some lovely walks to discover, through fields and lanes, and along the riverside and down to quiet little coves with boats drawn up on the shoreline.

If you do fancy something a little more active, Polruan is nearby, and Fowey is just across the river - there is a car ferry from Bodinnick, and a passenger ferry from Polruan.
