Head down to Porthleven Beach less than 500 metres from your door, or wander around Porthleven Harbour Market (150 metres) before enjoying a bite to eat at one of the many pubs and restaurants in the town.
The property has a fantastic contemporary style, with the open-plan living area acting as the true hub of the home. Cook up a storm in the glossy white kitchen area and head outside to the patio to dine alfresco; there’s a BBQ out here if you don’t fancy cooking inside. Curl up on the sofas in the living area among calming blue and yellow tones, the wood burner crackling away beside you, before heading up to bed for a good night’s sleep. Both bedrooms are decorated in cool neutrals and pastels with delightful coastal touches to remind you of your proximity to the sea.
If you’re up for a big hike, head 11 miles down the South West Coast Path to Kynance Cove (14.5 miles by road), where crystal-clear waters and rugged cliffs await. Alternatively you could drive to Lizard Point (14 miles) and walk along the coast path for 2 miles to the cove. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary (8 miles) is a wonderful family day out, as is St Michael’s Mount (9 miles); take a boat to the island to visit the castle and gardens. Nearby beaches Praa Sands (5 miles) and Kennack Sands (13.5 miles) are ideal for sandcastles, surfing and swimming.
