Enter this charming cottage via steps and the sunroom, which sits at the front of the property and has sea views over the rooftops. It is a light and airy space with a compact table and chairs - the perfect spot for watching the world go by over a leisurely breakfast. A wooden staircase leads into the cosy lounge which also features a wood burner, adding to its welcoming atmosphere. The well-equipped kitchen offers all you need to comfortably cater for your stay and on the ground floor, you’ll also find a handy WC. Upstairs, there are two well-appointed bedrooms; a double with stunning sea views across the harbour and a twin. Conveniently, both feature ensuite shower rooms. From outside, guests can enjoy views across the harbour from an elevated position; there is a spacious sundeck with seating. This can be accessed via a flight of stairs at the rear of the cottage, or from the twin bedroom.
Perched above the entrance of Porthleven Harbour, as it runs into Mount’s Bay, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a lovelier location for a traditional family break by the sea. Access the beach just 500 metres from the cottage which is a 3-mile stretch of shingle and sand. Take a relaxing walk along the shore, build sandcastles, or simply soak up the sun. Loe Pool, Cornwall’s largest lake is 2 miles away and is a great place to enjoy a walk or try a spot of birdwatching.
