Mrs Claire W,

The cottage was even better than expected on arrival. Weather has not been perfect but was eased by being in such a beautiful cottage! Been coming to Porthleven for 11 years and we can all safely say this is the nicest place we've stayed, Thankyou!

This cottage has been refurbished to a beutiful standard, it was a real treat to stay somewhere so fresh and clean - you really have thought of everything! We really enjoyed our week in this cottage, great location and fabolous views!

Nathan King, S

This is a lovely house and very well equipped. A delightful house where it has been a pleasure to stay and everything has been thought about and provided

Ferguson family, S

Very impressed with the Cottage, we all felt at home here! Every little accessory has been thought of right down to an egg slicer! Weather has been mixed. View from cottage is stunning. Having broadband here has been in-valuable as we are an IT business, we could still do support for our customers plus the kids enjoyed having internet access on rainy days. We will be back!

Harris family, W

We feel privileged to have been one of first to stay in this beautifully refurbished house with its lovely views.

Elmore family, H

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in this beautiful cottage. This is our third stay in Porthleven and again it was a lovely and relaxing break. Great walks and beaches.

Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!

Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!

Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!

The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.

You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
