Description
Situated in a prime harbourside location, 5 Seaview Moorings is unsurprisingly a popular choice for our holidaymakers. Located in the sought after village of Porthleven, the property offers spacious accommodation across three floors, making it a great choice for a family looking to have amenities on the doorstep. The sunny courtyard to the front of the property looks out over the harbour, the perfect spot to watch the boats sailing in and out.
The harbour of Porthleven has become a popular holiday destination in West Cornwall over recent years. With an abundance of top class restaurants including Rick Stein’s and Kota, you’ll be spoilt for choice on places to eat. The harbour hosts a fantastic annual food and music festival in April which sees thousands of people flock to the harbour for a weekend of great food and live music. The nearby beach of Praa Sands is only a few miles away and is a great spot for a surf or just a day out with the family building sand castles. Further south is the Lizard where you’ll find the treasures of Mullion and Kynance Cove – picturesque coves with turquoise waters, they really are a must see!

Map
Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
