Fantastic house in a fantastic location!! Our 4th stay in Porthleven. This is by far the best house with the best views!
Lovely house in an excellent position. This is our fifth stay in Porthleven. We love it. The Loe Bar and walk to it are both beautiful. We tried the kayaking and paddle boarding this year rather than just watching, it was really good fun. Bought a beautiful sea bass from fisherman at the harbour and barbecued it at the house. A great stay.
This was the third time we stayed at this property and we have had a great time on each visit. Porthleven has everything and there really is no need to go anywhere else!
Beautiful house, great location. Porthleven is stunning in all weathers.
Fantastic walk to Gunwalloe along cliff path.
Had an amazing few days with great friends. Looking forward to many more.
So sad to leave, a fabulous home, delightful. We hope to have many visits.
Extremely lovely house. Beautiful setting. Nice to see the fishermen chugging by as we lay in bed!
It's been lovely to be back in Porthleven again. The house is stunning, plenty of room for the six of us!
Beautiful house, views and weather. We had a really good time - walking through Penrose Estate, go carting, visiting Swanpool, boarding at Praa Sands and sunbathing on the beach and terrace. Thank you to Above Beach Cottages and their cleaning company.
Lovely house - stunning views from the terrace - very hot! Recommend visit to Kynance Cove and pasties from the Porthleven bakers.
Stayed at Bay View many time but not no 14 - amazing house for a large family, kids and dog had a great time. Thanks
We had a lovely week staying in 14 Bay View, what an amazing property
Wonderful views of stormy seas! Lovely comfortable home.
Set on the west coast of the spectacular Lizard Peninsula, the little harbour town of Porthleven is the quintessential Cornish fishing port. Centred around the harbour, it boasts an array of cafés, restaurants and galleries and exudes a chilled, relaxed atmosphere. Porthleven is the most southerly working port in the UK, with fishing boats operating out of the harbour. This makes the town a great spot to enjoy some delicious seafood, straight from the fishing boats to the restaurants, it couldn’t be fresher!
Porthleven beach can be accessed from the town itself and provides a long expanse of sand which is separated into segments by several rocky outcrops. While away the glorious summer days relaxing on the beach with a locally made ice cream in hand!
Situated part way along a huge sweeping bay, it faces the Atlantic Ocean and is often on the receiving end of some mighty winter storms! A fabulous destination for a winter break; marvel at the awe-inspiring waves pounding the harbour walls from the cosy safety of the local pub!
The surrounding area doesn’t disappoint either; located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the views from every cove or clifftop are picture-perfect. Travel north-west and you’ll reach Marazion, home of St Michael’s Mount – an absolute ‘must’. South takes you to the tip of the Lizard Peninsula, Lizard Point, one of Cornwall’s most iconic spots.
You won’t tire of the walks and stunning scenery, but if you fancy a day out, try the Seal Sanctuary, Flambards or Trebah Gardens. Or, go a little further afield and you can explore Penzance, Land’s End and St Ives.
