A lovely cottage in a wonderful location. Warm, comfortable and very well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. The local pub had closed down, but actually the pop-up pub in the village hall was very good and did excellent food.

Previous Customer,

It's the best cottage and view in Porthallow, which is the best village in the Lizard - peaceful, pretty, sheltered, and a great village pub in the hall.

Mrs Olivia H,

Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. Excellent beach views from cottage with a lovely roof top patio overlooking beach and sea. We had another brilliant holiday there and will definitely be back again for another holiday soon.

Mrs Dawn K,

A fantastic location for day dreaming especially when sat looking out of the large bay window. Lovely walks straight from the front door. The Five Pilchards and Fat Apples serve very nice food and the locals are friendly and informative.

Mr Graeme R,

Lovely lovely cottage equipped with everything you could possibly need. Excellent views. Very clean beach and beautiful clear sea. The balcony is brilliant, for breakfast, sunbathing, relaxing, reading, lunch, dinner or just a quick cuppa with a fantastic view of the beach. will definitely go again.

Mrs Sian E,

What better place to spend your 65th birthday. Glorious few days, exceptionally hot for September and the sea lovely and warm. The roof terrace is a fantastic addition. Great good value lunch at the Ferry Boat, then followed by yummy ice cream at Roskilly's on the way back.

Great little cottage, really enjoyed the roof terrace. Found some great little routes along the footpaths, the route to St. Keverne is particularly nice. Would recommend it to other dog owners! Will miss the view and the weather.

We had such a lovely week at Bank Cottage! You have created such a beautiful place to stay! We loved looking at the beach from the bay window and sitting up on the roof terrace! We loved it so much we have booked to return next August for 2 weeks!

We had a great time here and love the cottage, the beach, the village etc. We really liked The Shipwright's Arms at Helford, and Coverack was excellent for swimming and water sports. We parked within 20m of Lizard Point, how is that possible? Thanks.

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your lovely house. I enjoyed staying so very much. I went swimming in the sea every day. My favourite thing was going paddle boarding in Coverack. ;Florence

Helford is an idyllic little village set on the Helford River, just south of Falmouth. The area is blessed with stunning scenery – beautiful countryside, glorious walks following the meandering river and a plethora of quiet little coves and bays along the coast.

The whole region is located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with a number of picturesque villages and hamlets dotted throughout the landscape. Whether you stay in Helford village, Maenporth, Gweek, Coverack, Manaccan, Flushing or Porthallow, each has its own charm and character, with thatched and white-washed cottages a real feature. Why not explore all of them, sampling the quintessentially English village pubs along the way!

Helford is situated on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula, with Lizard Point a must-see attraction. Other great days out in the area include the Seal Sanctuary, the sub-tropical paradise of Trebah Gardens and firm family favourite, Flambards. The nearby towns of Porthleven and Helston offer restaurants, supermarkets and pubs and, of course, the harbour town of Falmouth is just up the coast, providing for all your shopping needs, excursions and more.
