Feel right at home from the moment you step foot inside this Cornish cottage. Sleeping eight people across three pretty bedrooms, this quaint and homely cottage is perfect for groups who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

As you enter this elegant period property, you’re welcomed into a cosy living room where your first port of call is to stoke up the wood burner and warm your toes. Relax after a day of exploring the myriad of Cornish beaches, or chat into the night with a glass of crisp white wine in your hand. When tummies start to rumble, cater for your party in the contemporary kitchen/diner and serve up at the long pine table overlooking the river. After you’ve caught up with your favourite boxset on the SmartTV, head upstairs to find three relaxing bedrooms with neutral decor and nautical themes – the ideal combination. When morning rolls around, sip on your coffee from the handy espresso machine and plan your day in the upper deck of the garden. For pooches that have come for a holiday too, use the enclosed courtyard as a space for them to stretch their legs.

Start your day with a breezy stroll down the coastal footpath which is available from the front door. Spend quality time with your guests wandering the shingle beach before heading back home for a heart breakfast in the garden. Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Helford is perfect for avid walkers, who can easily jump on the South West Coast Path. The longest of England’s national trails, follow the 630 miles of pristine coastline to stumble upon towering cliffs, hidden coves and subtropical wooded creeks. Stock up on local produce scones, cream and jam at the shop just 0.25 miles away, or for those lazy afternoons, treat yourselves to a meal at the dog-friendly village pub.

Location and view from the front of the property was great and the area very relaxing - so we really enjoyed the week - parking was a slight issue but the owner kindly allowed us to park on his property . The property is on the market, and a little tiered in places on the inside/outside, with some appliances being a little old, and not really suffiRead morecient glasses etc - ,location made up for these small points Hide

I could not reach the owner to sort out the parking arrangements Ben (at original cottages) sorted it, details of parking on the Travel Directions should be made clearer. The decked area needs attention (judged to be unsafe). The oven door would not close and stay closed. The freezer door within the fridge would not close properly. The shower hosRead moree in the bathroom is excessively stiff and needs replacing. It is judged that the light fittings in the sitting room were unsafe (in fact this part of the circuit had already tripped when we arrived). A light fitting in the master bedroom is hanging off the wall. On arrival the the glass in the en suite shower cubical was in need of a thorough cleaning. Nevertheless, we felt that the style and overall ambiance of the property was excellent and we enjoyed our stay in Helford. Hide
