Located down a private lane in the desirable area of Flushing, Trevessa House sits proudly on the edge of this charming village. Built by the owner, the property makes the most of the sensational sea views with its open-plan living room, two balconies and large terrace that opens out on to the gently sloping lawn. Countryside views can be admired from either side of the sea view, and it is often reported that wild deer graze in the garden during the morning and evening.

In addition to the main part of the house, the Crow’s Nest is accessed from the living room and forms a separate apartment, complete with two double en-suite rooms on the ground and first floor, followed by a kitchen and large living area on the second floor that has the advantage of its own private balcony. The layout and space of the house and apartment makes it ideal for either a large group of friends, or two families that require their own space but would like to be under the same roof.

Only half a mile from the property is the pretty village of Flushing, just across the water from Falmouth, where you will find a selection of cafés, pubs and riverside beaches. It is a great base to start a walk from; adventure down the River Fal or follow the coastal path to Mylor Harbour. For shopping, restaurants and bars, take the Flushing ferry over to Falmouth and be spoilt for choice with their abundance of top class eateries and drinking establishments.

Located on the opposite side of the Penryn river to Falmouth, Flushing is a little village full of charm and character. There is a pub and restaurant in the village and Falmouth is just a short drive or ferry ride away, providing a whole host of shops, attractions and dining opportunities. There is a small beach on the outskirts of the village and another three beaches in Falmouth.

The village holds an annual regatta at the end of July with a sand-castle building contest, races (rowing, swimming and a bathtub race!), a pub quiz and a carnival amongst other activities. Sheltered in the estuary, Flushing is said to be one of the warmest villages in the UK. It’s mild, maritime climate makes for the perfect outdoors holiday!
