Do you have your own dinghy and are looking for a cottage on the idyllic Fowey estuary? Perhaps you just want somewhere you can moor a hired boat for your holiday? Well, these cottages are just what you are looking for! All the below cottages have a mooring for that perfect break on the water.
The hamlet of Mixtow on the east bank is about one-and-a-half miles from the open sea. It provides an ideal base for the boating enthusiast to get afloat or relax and just watch the shipping and harbourside activities. Mixtow is a small and friendly holiday location to which many visitors return regularly.
Up river from Mixtow there is the sheltered estuary to explore. It is possible to travel as far as Lostwithiel or Lerryn (tides permitting). Fowey with its restaurants, shops and pubs is half a mile down river and is easily reached by boat or via the Bodinnick Ferry. There are many lovely beaches accessible by road or water, extensive cliff or river walks and good local fishing and birdwatching.
