Description

A rural haven overlooking fields on two sides and found in the hamlet of Trehemborne down a narrow Cornish lane which leads to the glorious sandy beach at Treyarnon only a mile away. Trearth is ideally located within a mile of shops, restaurants and some of the finest beaches in Cornwall as well as country walks making it a good base for exploring the many other attractions of Cornwall. Tucked out of the way of the hustle and bustle of village life the comforts of Trearth are ideal to come home to after a hard day on the beach or sightseeing. St. Merryn is just a mile up the road and has two pubs, filling station and food shops as well as some great takeaways and restaurants. The charming fishing port of Padstow with its many seafood restaurants and interesting shops is only four miles away.

GROUND FLOOR:
Lounge: TV, DVD player, bookcase with books and games, front bay window with countryside views.
Kitchen/Diner: Electric cooker, microwave, washer/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, radio, Rayburn (not in use).

Bedroom 1: Double bed (4'6''), wardrobe, chest of drawers, hair dryer, front bay window.
Bedroom 2: Twin beds (3'), wardrobe, chest of drawers.

Bathroom: Bath (shower over), basin, w.c.

GARDEN & PARKING: The enclosed garden comprises a front lawn bounded by walls either side and a Cornish hedge on the front boundary with a driveway for 2 to 3 cars and five bar gate, and to the rear a large, lawned area with shrubs, limited sea view, picnic table, garden bench and chairs. The garage is available for use.

Changeover Day: Friday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Power and Heat: Electricity and oil included in rent; oil fired c.h./hot water; heated towel rail bathroom.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen provided; towels not provided but can be hired - see hire page.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but can be hired - see hire page.
Shop: 0.9 ml  Pub: 1 ml  Coast: 0.9 ml

Local Area

Treyarnon is less well-known than its nearest neighbour Constantine Bay, but is just as worthy of a visit.  The sheltered sandy beach offers good surfing conditions and a natural tidal pool where you can swim, plus rock pools and hidden alcoves to be explored.  The beach welcomes dogs all year round, and is a great favourite with families, offering plenty of opportunities for sandcastle building, paddling, ball games and the like! Overlooking the beach, the nearby Youth Hostel welcomes all for a drink or a meal, and what better way to enjoy your food than while looking out over the bay with its spectacular scenery.  There is also a little shop just above the beach, selling general beach supplies, drinks and ice creams so you won't want for anything! A stroll along the cliffs and coastal footpaths will reveal more magnificent scenery in both directions; you can reach Porthcothan Bay in one direction, and Constantine Bay in the other.  If you get tired you can always stop for a rest on one of the numerous benches along this stretch of clifftop, many carrying dedications to previous generations who also stopped to take in the views.

By several magnitudes, Trearth is one of the nicest holiday homes we have ever stayed in; it's in a great location, near to the coast and all this wonderful part of North Cornwall has to offer. The bungalow is beautifully furnished, with everything you could possibly want for your convenience. Real thought has gone into the making us comfortable and it's been a pleasure to stay here.
