The Hideaway is a well equipped, self contained wing of a lovely property tucked away in a quiet location in the village of St Merryn. The ideal accommodation for a family holiday or for that stolen week or short break out of season. The owner, who lives next door, has taken care to provide a separate rear garden - the perfect setting for that summer evening barbecue after a day on the beach. The centre of St Merryn village is only a few minutes' walk and offers you a wide choice of restaurants, pubs and takeaways as well as a convenience store and a bakery selling hot pasties. The beautiful sandy beach at Harlyn Bay is about a mile from the village, and there are several other beaches close by as well. All offer fantastic opportunities for surfing, fishing, crabbing, swimming, playing cricket, volley ball or just simply soaking up the sun. Alternatively why not explore the nearby pretty town of Padstow with its colourful cottages, shops, busy harbour, pubs and restaurants. You can also hire bikes in the town and cycle the picturesque Camel Trail.

The property is ideally located to enjoy the facilities of the village and there are easy walks to the beaches. The village of St Merryn is well serviced with shops pubs and places to eat and is in easy reach to local beaches.

St Merryn is a hidden gem located within easy reach of the stunning coast of North Cornwall, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, helpful local convenience stores and delis, and a wide variety of places to eat. Sometimes overlooked, due to the proximity of the larger town of Padstow just ten minutes' drive away, St Merryn is nevertheless a great holiday setting in its own right, its convenient location and many amenities attracting visitors back year after year. Known as the 'Seven Bays' area due to the number of beaches along this part of the coastline, you know you are approaching the village when you see the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' signs on the road heading in. If it's a walking holiday you are looking for, St Merryn is an excellent choice, being near to beaches, cliffs and fields, where lovely views entice you from your holiday home and into the great outdoors. And of course, if you have a four legged family member, they will love it too! There is also a riding stables nearby if you've always wanted to explore the area on horseback (a wonderful way to see the stunning local scenery).
