The farm is adjacent to Carnevas Holiday Park which offers on site facilities during the summer season to include a shop and bar serving meals. This stunning little gem of a property is the perfect place for two, with an enclosed courtyard on one side and a sunny patio on the other; it has so much to offer inside and out. You will find many restaurants within easy driving distance, Padstow (5 miles) and St Merryn (2 miles) where you can sample locally sourced food. If you are feeling energetic you can surf the waves on nearby Porthcothan and Treyarnon bays, walk the coastal footpath or just relax and be cosy at Swallows. Also located on the edge of Carnevas Farm are Nellies, Bowgie and Carnevas Farmhouse. Very comfortable stay! This is the fourth time we have booked with Cornish Horizons and have been satisfied every time from initial booking to staying in the chosen accomadation.
Great property in excellent condition. Very helpful and friendly owners. Great location for beaches, and only a short distance from many great places to visit and eat
This was a first class property and owners were very helpful!
Really great stay, beautiful scenery and wonderfully quiet and relaxing. Will certainly return.
We are very pleased with Swallows which is why we keep returning there. We shall definitely book again. Cornish Horizons provide a vast range of properties to suit any size of party and budget. In our experience we have enjoyed stays in various comfortable and affordable cottages.
An ideal property for 2, so peaceful!
It is a very cosy, comfortable cottage. Every need is catered for.
Perfect cottage especially if you have any mobility issues, the shower room was a bonus. Friendly bar staff in the pub down the road, really good food and a view of Porthcothan bay which is picturesque.
Porthcothan Bay is another of those locations which is just waiting to be discovered and explored. Within easy reach of Padstow and St Merryn, and a short drive up the coast road from Newquay and Mawgan Porth, the sheltered, sandy bay at Porthcothan is another of the many family-friendly beaches that can be enjoyed along this part of the coastline. It is also dog-friendly all year round, and boasts picturesque cliff walks and outstanding scenery. The area around Porthcothan is also home to a wide variety of sea birds, and the cliffs are often grazed by ponies and sheep, which helps with conservation of local plant life. The nearby village of St Merryn and the town of Padstow offer an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants, in addition to the local pub, the Tredrea Inn, which hosts live bands and also has a beer garden where you can sip your drink while admiring the superb views over the bay. Porthcothan Bay is also close to the village of St Eval, where anyone, whatever your age, can have loads of fun on the Karting Circuit, and when you're done, you can visit nearby Kernow Chocolate where you will find a wide range of yummy chocolate treats!
