2 Rose Terrace is a beautifully presented, modern and spacious cottage located in the heart of St Merryn village close to pubs (one owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein), wine bar, shops, takeaways and excellent restaurants. Stylishly furnished and finished to a high standard, the cottage is ideal for those who like to stroll out for a drink or a meal of an evening without having to worry about driving. Families will enjoy the patio garden and the fact that No. 2 is so close to the many lovely beaches along this scenic part of the coastline. St. Merryn also provides an ideal base from which to explore the North Cornwall coast, including places such as Watergate Bay with its well known Jamie Oliver restaurant and the Extreme Academy, the spectacular Bedruthan Steps and - just 3 miles down the road - the popular town of Padstow.  Padstow has something for everyone, from shops, galleries and restaurants, boat trips from the working fishing harbour to the historic Elizabethan Manor house of Prideaux Place.

GARDEN & PARKING: Small enclosed rear paved garden with south-easterly aspect benefiting from sunshine for most of the day, garden furniture, barbecue; small enclosed front garden with flowering shrubs. Space in gated back garden for one car (or possibly two small cars).

Changeover Day:  Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Security Deposit: £100.
Pets Welcome: Maximum 2 dogs; £25 per pet per week Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included in rent; gas c.h./hot water.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).

Local Area

St Merryn is a hidden gem located within easy reach of the stunning coast of North Cornwall, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, helpful local convenience stores and delis, and a wide variety of places to eat.  Sometimes overlooked, due to the proximity of the larger town of Padstow just ten minutes' drive away, St Merryn is nevertheless a great holiday setting in its own right, its convenient location and many amenities attracting visitors back year after year. Known as the 'Seven Bays' area due to the number of beaches along this part of the coastline, you know you are approaching the village when you see the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' signs on the road heading in. If it's a walking holiday you are looking for, St Merryn is an excellent choice, being near to beaches, cliffs and fields, where lovely views entice you from your holiday home and into the great outdoors.  And of course, if you have a four legged family member, they will love it too!  There is also a riding stables nearby if you've always wanted to explore the area on horseback (a wonderful way to see the stunning local scenery).

A beautiful cottage in a lovely location, the cottage has a number of good restaurants close - we particularly like the Cornish Arms and the Olive Tree! The chippy is pretty good too! The bakery sells amazing cakes and breads. The beaches are beautiful particularly Haryln bay which is toddler friendly with its little stream of water to paddle in. The cottage has everything you could ask for a well equipped kitchen, toys, games, videos etc. A wonderful holiday and no doubt we will come back for a 3rd visit soon!Mrs F - 16th May 2015
