Description
This end of terrace cottage is attractive, stylish and spacious and we are sure will provide guests with a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Beautifully furnished and very well equipped, with views over the surrounding countryside, it is conveniently situated close to village facilities including pubs (one now owned by Rick Stein), wine bar, shops and excellent restaurants. The nearby glorious seven bays are among the best beaches in Cornwall, great for both families and surfers and providing some truly breathtaking coastal walks. There are local championship golf links at Trevose and St. Enodoc. The popular town of Padstow is 3 miles away with easy access to Rock via a ferry service across the estuary. Padstow marks one end of the Camel Trail; an enjoyable way for cyclists and walkers to experience the wonderful scenery and natural wildlife. No. 5 is an ideal base from which to explore the North Cornwall coast, including places such as Watergate Bay with its well known Jamie Oliver restaurant, Fistral Bay to the South, and Tintagel, fabled home of King Arthur and the iconic Cornish village of Boscastle to the North.

Map
St Merryn is a hidden gem located within easy reach of the stunning coast of North Cornwall, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, helpful local convenience stores and delis, and a wide variety of places to eat. Sometimes overlooked, due to the proximity of the larger town of Padstow just ten minutes' drive away, St Merryn is nevertheless a great holiday setting in its own right, its convenient location and many amenities attracting visitors back year after year. Known as the 'Seven Bays' area due to the number of beaches along this part of the coastline, you know you are approaching the village when you see the 'Seven Bays for Seven Days' signs on the road heading in. If it's a walking holiday you are looking for, St Merryn is an excellent choice, being near to beaches, cliffs and fields, where lovely views entice you from your holiday home and into the great outdoors. And of course, if you have a four legged family member, they will love it too! There is also a riding stables nearby if you've always wanted to explore the area on horseback (a wonderful way to see the stunning local scenery).
