Port Isaac Cottages

Port Isaac is a picture-perfect fishing village on Cornwall’s north coast. In contrast to its larger neighbours, including Polzeath, Bude and Padstow, Port Isaac is a much quieter spot, but still has plenty to see and things to do. But it’s not just the pretty village that’s ready to welcome you to Port Isaac, there’s also our collection of beautiful cottages too. From quaint little lodges to grand cottages for large groups, our collection in Port Isaac covers a range of tastes, needs and preferences. Included in the group are dog-friendly cottages, luxury homes and cottages slightly further from the coast, tucked away near the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

You may recognise Port Isaac from TV’s Doc Martin, starring Martin Clunes. For fans of the show, many of the coastal town’s buildings and scenery will feel familiar, and for those who haven’t seen the show, a visit to Port Isaac is sure to confirm why this picturesque place was chosen for the silver screen. Port Isaac is not just a historic fishing village, but a vibrant community that upholds tradition in the best way. To get a taste of Port Isaac’s fishing history, take a boat trip or fishing expedition from the harbour during the summer season and catch the Fisherman's Friends (Cornwall’s favourite Sea Shanty group) singing in the harbour on summer evenings. To stretch your legs, wander through the narrow alleys, cobbled streets and spot the 18th century fisherman homes, most of which are now officially listed as architectural or historic importance.

Port Isaac is also known for its fabulous array of pubs, restaurants and cafes and you’ll certainly never go hungry whilst you’re here! If we had to pick just two to recommend, it would be Outlaw’s New Road and Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen, both owned and run by Nathan Outlaw. Outlaw’s New Road sits at the top of Port Isaac overlooking the ocean with a menu which celebrates only the very best and freshest seafood that Cornwall and the South West has to offer. Outlaw’s Fish Kitchen is located within a fifteenth-century fisherman’s cottage in the heart of Port Isaac village where they cook a selection of seafood dishes for the table, making for a truly unforgettable dining experience.

For beach days, Port Isaac is perfectly situated on the North Cornwall coast, so the popular beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay are only a few miles away. Our Port Isaac self-catering homes are available all year round and are ready and waiting for their next guests, so why not take a look and get ready for your next Cornish adventure?
