With some pleasant sea views, this self contained ground floor apartment with its own entrance door has an attractive open plan living area, a family room and bathroom with shower. The Oystercatcher pub stands near the top of the hill above the delightful village of Polzeath and has panoramic views of the beach and surrounding countryside, with sun terraces and garden surrounding the building. Outside summer holidays, food is served mid-week from 12-3pm and 6-9pm with food available all day on Saturday and Sunday until 9pm (and they also do a Sunday roast!). During the summer holidays, food is served 12noon-9pm, all day every day. It is also a venue for live entertainment. There are live bands on most Saturday nights throughout the year, apart from during school summer holiday time. Don't worry, this won't spoil your beauty sleep as the bar's licensing hours are until midnight 7 days a week and the entertainment will usually finish half an hour before the bar closes. We can't think of a better way to start your holiday - unpack the suitcase and then trot into the bar for a nice freshly ground coffee, a cup of tea or a pint of local real ale! In fact you could manage to do without the car all week if you like as everything you could possibly need is right there in the village - lovely big beach (great for children and for surfing), surf schools and hire, food shops, restaurants and magnificent coastal walks.

Mention Polzeath, and one of the first things you think of is likely to be surfing. This is yet another stretch of coastline that is irresistible to those who like to spend much of their time riding the waves. Yet Polzeath has plenty more of interest to offer, including craft and gift shops, cafes, a pub offering good food and live music, amazing eateries and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As with much of Cornwall's coastline, the scenery here is spectacular, and there are plenty of coastal walks to be found, including a lovely route to nearby Daymer Bay. If surfing is not your thing, there is New Polzeath beach (just to the right of the main beach) which is ideal for swimmers, or of course if you prefer to relax and take it easy, you could just sunbathe instead! Keep your eyes open, though, as if you're lucky, you may just see a few of the dolphins or seals who are regular visitors to this stretch of water Nearby, there is The Point, for keen golfers, and Cornish Rock Tors, who offer coasteering, sea kayaking, wild swimming and climbing for those who fancy something more adventurous. Polzeath and the nearby area is also a favourite with celebrities, and has been known to attract royal visitors too.
