Situated on the North Cornwall Coast, both Perranporth and Fistral make for excellent holiday destinations if you’re looking for golden sands and clear waters.
Perranporth has a beach which spans a three mile stretch along the coast and is just a short walking distance from shops and other amenities, making it convenient for visitors who are looking to relax by the beach. For walkers, from Perranporth you can join the famous South West Coast Path which will lead you to other nearby places including Holywell Bay, Trevaunance Cove and Portreath.
You will also find many other attractions in the surrounding areas, with the town of Newquay being just a 20 minute drive up the coast. There are also several Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to be explored nearby.
For surfing enthusiasts, Fistral is located just nine miles from Perranporth. Reputedly the best surfing beach in Britain, Fistral Beach is famed for its west-facing shore and Atlantic swells which draw in the surfing crowds year after year. It is here that The British Surfing Association is based, enabling Fistral to play host to international surfing competitions throughout the year. The beach itself, backed by sand dunes, is popular with tourists throughout the summer months and is not far away from Newquay where you’ll find a multitude of things to do whilst on holiday.
