This light, modern family home, located at the top of Padstow, is the perfect base for exploring the whole of Cornwall. Offering flexible options for smaller groups, for that family and friends get together, or if you just fancy the extra space, you can book the annex (see here). Bright and spacious throughout, the living areas open out to a lovely enclosed garden where you can enjoy the sun through the day. Conveniently located, just 100 yards from bus routes, supermarket, and only a 10-minute walk to the centre of the bustling Padstow harbour town. Padstow offers many independent restaurants, shops, pubs and galleries. A 20-minute walk takes you to the nearest beach, with many North coast beaches just a short drive away.
East House offers a small group discount of 15% on full weekly bookings for parties of 6 or fewer at certain times of the year which means that if low occupancy for 6, then you are restricted to the use of 3 bedrooms in the main house, (the annex will be not be available). Please contact us to let us know which bedrooms in the main house you would like the use of. This discount is automatically applied and the holiday price you are quoted reflects this. Ideal holiday property, lovely and clean, just what we asked for.
East House is a spacious property, well able to accommodate the three couple, a teenager, a very active three year old and a dog. Plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing without falling over each other. Every inch of the house was scrupulously clean and very well presented. Every bedroom was a decent size and well equipped with storage space and electric sockets. Kitchen very well equipped with plenty of room for cooking variety of meals. Garden decent size and secure for child and dog. The flowers, tea, coffee etc were a lovely touch on arrival. Location great - just across the road from Tesco and bus stop close by for short journey into Padstow town, although walk into town takes 10 mins. Overall, lovely house, had a great stay and look forward to booking again.
Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
