Reviews

A stunning cottage in outstanding condition. In a fabulous location right on top of the London Inn and Golden Lion our favourite pubs.

Mr Paul R,

Loved it!

Mrs Deborah M,

It was one of the best cottage holiday experiences I have experienced - from Bermuda to New York to Australia. Recently renovated with quality everything, from the tiles in the bathroom to the cutlery. Can’t rave enough about Captains Cottage. Thank you to the owners.

Mrs R,

We love Captains cottage it's just fantastic and have already booked again for next year.

Mr Mark M,

Amazing property. We've booked for next year already.

Mrs Lucie S,

Superb location, very central yet blissfully quiet! Gorgeous bathroom and kitchen. Nice touches, like milk, wine, biscuits and goody bag for the dog (who says thanks by the way)

Mr B E,

Absolutely perfect in every way. Fantastic customer service with clear explanations of the property wanted. Really appreciate the help in organising a surprise hamper with a great recommendation in a relevant business. Friendly staff who are very knowledgeable.

Mrs Laura R,

Absolutely love Captains Cottage! Location amazing, always very clean and the local wine left in the fridge is a nice touch.

Mrs Charlotte M,

The cottage was smashing and everything was great!

Mrs Susan L,

We love this cottage!! We so appreciate all the renovations that have been very thoughtfully made since our last visit and the attention to detail is super. Really love it’s location, as it right in the centre of Padstow, yet very peaceful tucked away in a little courtyard. Look forward to returning in the summer. Also loved nice touch the welcoming letter from owner’s dog!

Mr B E,

Map

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations- a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
