The Bluebirds is a lovely family house, carefully refurbished to provide extremely comfortable, spacious and well-equipped holiday accommodation.  Guests enjoy their own large secluded garden and patio area and parking for 2 cars.  The owners live in accommodation adjoining the property so are on hand to ensure high standards and provide local information. Tucked away in a quiet residential road, yet convenient to the local supermarket and petrol station, The Bluebirds is a 10 minute walk down to Padstow's beautiful ancient harbour.  In the maze of picturesque narrow streets leading down to the port, there is an exciting choice of restaurants (including several owned by Rick Stein), pubs, shops and galleries.  Padstow is situated on the beautiful Camel Estuary which has glorious sandy beaches accessed via the coastal path and is popular for water sports such as sailing and windsurfing.  There are boat and fishing trips running from the harbour in season and a cycle hire shop enabling you to explore the 18 miles of the scenic Camel Trail.  The house and garden of historic Prideaux Place and the Lobster Hatchery are well worth a visit.  A short drive takes you to several superb sandy beaches and the beautiful coastal path with its spectacular rugged coastline, only a mile or two down the road.

GARDEN & PARKING: Large private rear garden mainly laid to lawn, fully enclosed to rear area and dog friendly.  Picnic bench, plus separate table and chairs, barbecue.  Designated parking for 2 cars in driveway.

Changeover Day: Friday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Security Deposit: £100.
Pets Welcome: Maximum 2 medium dogs; £25 per pet per week.
Power and Heat: Electricity and gas included in rent; gas c.h./hot water, woodburner lounge.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen provided, towels not provided but can be hired.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but can be hired.
Shop: 200 yds Pub: 0.5 ml

NOTES: No smoking, there is an additional folding bed but occupants must never total more than 6 persons plus baby. WiFi provided. Call box 800 yds.

Local Area

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
