Decorated to a high standard, Harbour Cottage is very handy for the many delights to be found in the picturesque town of Padstow. The cottage offers well-equipped and comfortable accommodation located at the edge of the old town on the road leading up out of Padstow and also has the benefit of parking for 2 cars. 2 minutes' walk will take you to shops, pubs and many highly recommended restaurants, including Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant. Also within a short walk are beautiful sandy beaches and a lovely coastal walk within the estuary, which is also popular for water sports such as sailing and windsurfing. We've stayed at Harbour Cottage a number of times. The location is perfect for accessing the best of Padstow. It's a comfortable cottage which is good whether the weather's good or bad.
All the staff at Cornish Horizons are delightful, in person and on the phone. The housecleaning staff do a superb job and the “welcome pack” is much appreciated. How nice to be welcomed with flowers. Harbour Cottage, where we have had many excellent holidays, is always immaculately clean and has everything we need for a good holiday.
This is our 4th visit, I think, and we love returning to Harbour Cottage. Thank you.
Padstow is a fantastic holiday location with excellent facilities & an amazing range of cafes & restaurants. It is a wonderful location for exploring all of Cornwall.
Excellent accommodation. First class.
Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
