Decorated to a high standard, Harbour Cottage is very handy for the many delights to be found in the picturesque town of Padstow. The cottage offers well-equipped and comfortable accommodation located at the edge of the old town on the road leading up out of Padstow and also has the benefit of parking for 2 cars. 2 minutes' walk will take you to shops, pubs and many highly recommended restaurants, including Rick Stein's famous Seafood Restaurant.  Also within a short walk are beautiful sandy beaches and a lovely coastal walk within the estuary, which is also popular for water sports such as sailing and windsurfing.  A 5-10 minute drive gives you a choice of several spectacular sandy beaches and coves on the dramatic North Coast.

GARDEN & PARKING: Small paved area to front.  Patio to rear with gate leading to drive. Garden furniture.  Drive with parking for 2 cars (but 2 large cars may have difficulties).  Garage available for storing bikes, wetsuits, surfboards etc.; tumble dryer.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am.
Pets Welcome: Maximum 1 dog; £25 per week plus security deposit £50 per booking Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Gas and electricity included in rent; gas c.h./hot water; wood burning stove effect electric fire lounge.
Bedding and Linen: Pillows & duvets included; bed linen provided; towels not provided but may be hired - see hire page.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but can be hired - see hire page.

Local Area

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

Having stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, this is easily the best. Very easy to settle in and feel at home, with bright and airy rooms, comfy sofas and beds and a great outdoor space, parking and even a garage for extra storage. It was a fantastic base to explore Padstow and the stunning surrounding coastline, and less than two minutes walk to the harbour and local restaurants.
