Local Area

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

Reviews

The Cornish Horizons team are so friendly, helpful and professional. The are lovely on the phone and really do the customer service, customer care bit superbly. We have been using Cornish Horizons in preference to other companies ever since they took over Harbour Cottage in Padstow.Miss Susan Baird - 23rd October 2017
Having stayed in many holiday cottages over the years, this is easily the best. Very easy to settle in and feel at home, with bright and airy rooms, comfy sofas and beds and a great outdoor space, parking and even a garage for extra storage. It was a fantastic base to explore Padstow and the stunning surrounding coastline, and less than two minutes walk to the harbour and local restaurants. We couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be coming back soon!Mrs Jo Gee - 26th June 2017

Padstow is a real gem with lots to do and see no matter what the weather. The cottage is very well situated. Your service is very good. We will be back next year and this will be our fourth visit. Padstow is addictive.Mr T Taylor - 6th October 2015
Standards of cleanliness are always very high. Location is a huge plus point with car parking inclusive. Never fail to be impressed by the improvements made year on year.Mr M - 11th May 2015
Harbour Cottage is all we could have wished for and more! So welcoming, a 'home from home'. The welcome pack was a really nice touch. The attention to detail was second to none and made our stay very comfortable. The cottage is clean, cosy and in a fantastic location- very accessible to the harbour and surrounding areas. The parking is also a plus point. We will certainly recommend Harbour Cottage to our friends and family. We have had a wonderful stay and hope to return again in the future. Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us.Mr T - 11th July 2014
