Little Penty is a small, terraced, fisherman's cottage tucked away in a little courtyard in the centre of Padstow, a short walk from the quay but so well hidden you would hardly know it existed. Despite its convenient central location the courtyard is quiet and an ideal place to unwind. This cosy, comfortable cottage is full of character and charm and has everything you need for a relaxing break. Padstow is a historic fishing port situated on the West side of the river Camel estuary in North Cornwall. The picturesque town with a jumble of narrow alleys and streets leading down to the harbour has medieval buildings and up-to-the-minute art galleries as well as many fine restaurants and tea shops. There are beaches within walking distance in the estuary and a short drive along the coast takes you to a number of other super beaches many of which are suitable for surfing. Padstow is ideally placed for exploring Cornwall - Tate St Ives is only an hour's drive and the Eden Project is even closer.

Local Area

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

We absolutely love Little Penty! Over the years I've stayed in about ten different Padstow properties, and Little Penty is by far the cosiest and most welcoming. And as we don't come by car, we really appreciate being right in the thick of things – it makes everything so easy! It's such a pleasure to deal with Cornish Horizons. Everyone's always so friendly and willing to go the extra distance! The personal touch makes all the difference.Ms Rachel Stadlen - 20th August 2018
This cottage is in the perfect location. Mrs Sarah Thorpe - 13th August 2018
My wife and I have been 3 times to Little Penty now - it is Excellent! Mr ALAN MORRIS - 25th June 2018
We love staying at Little Penty. The cottage is cosy & quirky and perfect for all Padstow has to offer and walks to the beach. The only thing I would suggest is some blocks to level the bed! Love the sloping floors but I get shoved nearly out of bed. The cottage is in a quiet little courtyard that offers a glimpse of authentic Cornish living. Cosy & quirky and perfect for all Padstow has to offer, and walks to the beach. Ms D Thurlby - 15th October 2017
A lovely property that we've stayed in over many years and will continue to do so, using the Cornish Horizons team.Mrs Sue Rockhill - 18th September 2017

A lovely stay at the cosy cottage Little Penty. In a fabulous location to experience all that Padstow has to offer. Cycling the Camel Trail is a must and the beach at Trevone was gorgeous. All in all, a great family holiday in a lovely cottage. The Young family - 15th July 2017
A lovely, quaint cottage. Ideal situation being so central. Had brilliant week weather-wise. Sun, sun and more sun for most of the week. Padstow is a great place to be based & explore Cornwall & Little Penty a lovely cottage to stay in.Mr and Mrs Morris - 24th June 2017
This is the second time we have stayed here at Little Penty - we were here for a week last year! We really like the changes you have made although it's as cosy and welcoming as before. It doesn't matter if the weather isn't too good when you can be comfortable and 'at home' here... Padstow's as lovely as ever, we are drawn to it somehow... Thank you very much, we have had a really pleasant holiday and hope to return someday.Mr & Mrs Walsh and Lola the dog - 10th June 2017

I'd just like to thank you and say that our stay in Little Penty was delightful. The location couldn't have been better and I could fault nothing. The pint of milk in the fridge, tea and coffee were a lovely touch. Also the beds were incredibly comfortable.Mr W - 14th June 2014
Little Penty is conveniently located for all your amenities, yet tucked away in the old town. Particularly enjoyed the sun trap at the front of the cottage- perfect for a well deserved glass of wine after a stroll.Mrs R - 15th May 2014
