This spacious and homely cottage located in a quiet rural hamlet provides an ideal base from which to explore the nearby coast and beaches, it is also close to the main routes through Cornwall, so your options are endless!  This cottage is over 200 years old and is full of character with exposed beams, a huge fire place with woodburner and low level small paned windows set in substantial stone walls.  The cottage is approximately a 10 minute drive from the seven sandy bays of this coastline and about 4 miles from Padstow and Wadebridge, both of which are situated on the picturesque Camel Trail running alongside the river Camel.  In both towns you will find a vast choice of places to eat and drink, and shops to explore.  You could choose to spend the day enjoying the garden and patio area and, of course, Camel Creek Adventure Park which is within walking distance (although you wouldn't know it!).

Sometimes damp is unpreventable due to atmospheric conditions out of our control.

There are steep steps and no fence between the upper garden/patio and the lower patio. Please take care with the elderly and children and ensure young children are supervised at all time.


Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
