Property code: OC-P00894

With entrancing views across Newquay’s Fistral Beach, this beautifully restored Art Deco house is full of characterful furnishings, vivid colours and works of art. With its 5th bedroom in an annexe, this is a great destination for large groups looking to create extraordinary memories.

There’s no doubt this property really is unique, from its unusual 1930s exterior design to its incredible panoramic views. Wall-to-wall glazing dominates the living space, and it’s hard to take your eyes away from the rolling waves and endless skies, in summer or winter. The dining table is positioned to take advantage of the views, with the kitchen to one side and the lounge area, denoted by vibrant wallpaper, to the other. Slide the doors to the balcony open and dine al fresco, or spend a cosy evening gathered around the wood burner and TV. The main bedroom is king-size and has an en-suite wet room, as well as a small study area. There’s a further king-size bedroom with sea views, a twin room (super-king-size on request), and a bunk-bed room with 3’ beds and ample storage, plus a family bathroom. On the garden level you’ll find the annexe, which has a king-size bedroom, a living space with a kitchenette and small dining table, and a wet room. This private space has a head-height of around 6’. The large lawned garden is below the house, an enclosed and sheltered space with a children’s playhouse.

The house is less than half a mile from the southern end of Fistral Beach, known as the home of British surfing. While Newquay is known for its night life, it has more to offer, too, including a zoo, aquarium, leisure park and riding stables, as well as boat trips from the harbour and the National Trust property Trerice Manor, 4.5 miles.

we have just returned from our weeks holiday at Red Rails. We are a three generation family group and there was a lot riding on this holiday as its the first time in three years we have all been able to spend time together. I didnt disappoint and provided a breathtakingly beautiful home for us for the week.It was well equipped ( once we found the cRead moreutlery draw! our ignorance) and superbly comfortable. The position of Red Rails for us was fantastic suiting both the body boarders on the beach and the kayakers on the estuary. We found it a convenient walk into the town and good access to going further afield. The added bonus was being able to bring our well behaved dogs.We all had a wonderful holiday. Hide
