Description

This modern cottage, stylish and comfortable, was built to take maximum advantage of lovely creek views in this delightful wooded valley just two miles from the historic town of Padstow. Offering a relaxed and tranquil setting, 4 Riverside is ideal for anyone looking to totally unwind from the stresses of modern living - sip your wine on the decking as a swan glides by on the gently lapping waters.  The whole of the river Camel estuary and its creeks is a haven for birds - up to 130 species at certain times of the year so you may even be lucky and spy a kingfisher.  For those looking for more action and adventure the area offers a range of activities including walking and cycling, water sports and golf. The Eden Project is easily reached and as little as three miles away there are some stunning sandy beaches for families and also for surfing.  Then at the end of your relaxing/exhausting* day (*delete as applicable!) there are a number of top class restaurants in Padstow and the surrounding area which cater for a wide variety of tastes, one of which - The Old Mill House Bistro - is only a two minute walk.

Reviews

Really lovely spot. Very quiet. We really enjoyed our time then although it was all too short. Thank you.

Mr Carl Aspital,

Thanks for making your cottage so lovely. We’ve had a great time, despite the weather. Well stocked with essentials which made things easier. Our first time in a cottage, definitely not our last! Harlyn Bay was our favourite.

The Field Family,

Great week, although typical that the heatwave disappeared once we had arrived. Lovely cottage, with tremendous views of the creek. We enjoyed Harlyn Bay, the Hidden Hut, visiting St Mawes and Looe. Made a great Cornish holiday.

The Turners,

Well equipped, quiet relaxing location, convenient for travel around the area. Thoroughly recommend.

Mrs Pauline Miles,

Lovely cottage, very comfortable! Love the upside down style of the house. Great location, hope to be back!

Pauline & Mavis,

Once again cottage really comfortable and with Cornwall at its best, what more could you want…

Sue and Alf,

Comfortable and well equipped house. Beautiful views of the creek, very relaxing and peaceful location. We love North Cornwall area, and we always use Cornish Horizons. Beautiful house, excellent service as always.

Marion Hateley,

Great week, we've been lucky with the weather. Great location and the cottage was very comfortable. Hope to be back again soon.

Dave & Marion,

This cottage never disappoints us. We have had some great weather and the cottage gives the most perfect views. We will definitely be back here again. Thank you!

Nick & Kathy,

Booked through Cornish Horizons and not disappointed as always! Great cottage, you have thought of everything to make it home from home. Perfect location, thank you!

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth.  If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin.  If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
