Imagine relaxing with a cup of tea (or something stronger), the children are entertaining themselves on the outdoor play equipment, and you are enjoying the glorious, far reaching view over farmland to the Camel Estuary. Welcome to The Dreyhouse! The view from the rear patio area is just as described and in the garden there is a climbing frame, swing and slide (with rubber matting beneath) for the younger members of your party to enjoy. The Dreyhouse is furnished to a high standard, with lots of chunky oak furniture, and high beamed ceilings, slate floors and light-filled rooms lend a wonderful feeling of spaciousness. The open plan kitchen/dining/living area is perfect for a sociable holiday with family and friends. The Dreyhouse is situated in the small hamlet of Higher Halwyn, a short distance from the Camel Trail, a multi-use track popular with cyclists and walkers, which runs from Padstow to Wadebridge and then on to Bodmin and St Breward.

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
Lovely property is a great location, well layed out and furnished to a high standard. Mr J Haworth - 4th January 2018
We have been staying at The Dreyhouse for over 10 years. During that time it has never looked "tired" or in need of renovation. It is our favourite location in Cornwall by far.Dr C Merrill - 1st August 2017
Excellent well equipment property with fantastic views. Mrs S Atkinson - 11th July 2017

We have used Cornish Horizons before and will continue to do so if staying in Cornwall . We have found the accurate descriptions of property give us peace of mind. We always use a 4 star + pet friendly property.Mr J Stephenson - 13th October 2015
Stunning! The location is simply wonderful. It overlooks the Camel estuary, with Padstow one side and Rock the other. Sitting on sun loungers in the garden overlooking such an amazing view is soul food. The property itself is simply the best holiday let we have ever experienced. The furnishings were tasteful, homely and of a very high standard. The beds were comfortable, the showers fantastic, and the kitchen well-equipped. We took our dog with us, and it was perfect for his old legs as it is all on one level. All in all, I would recommend this property without reservation, and hope to return some time in the future.Mrs O - 3rd July 2015
