Maltsters Studio provides a perfect cosy retreat for a couple looking for a Cornish break, complete with a sweet courtyard garden. Maltsters Studio is handily located between Padstow (only 2 miles) and the market town of Wadebridge (5 miles), in the pretty village of Little Petherick, just opposite the 12th century church. The studio is very handy for the pretty and historic town of Padstow, only a 2 mile walk along the Saint's Way - with its delightful pubs, restaurants, galleries and shops and the unspoilt harbour - still used by the local thriving fleet of inshore fishing vessels who mainly fish for lobsters and crabs. Just a short step or two from your front door is Little Petherick Creek and the Saints' Way, an ancient trail which dates back over 1,500 years... now a great favourite with walkers providing fantastic views along the river estuary and is also rich in wildlife. Within less than a mile there are two pubs and The Journeyman Restaurant but even closer is The Old Mill House Bistro, just a 1 minute walk. The owners are very welcoming and live in the house next to the property.
Lounge/Kitchen/Diner: TV with FreeSat, DVD player, CD player, electric cooker with double oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge with ice box.
Bedroom: Double bed (4'6"), coat hooks and rail for hanging, hair dryer.
Shower Room: Thermostatic shower, basin, w.c.
GARDEN & PARKING: Shared driveway with owner. Parking for 1 car. Patio area just behind house with table and benches, barbecue. Small garden to the front laid to lawn with bistro table and 2 chairs overlooking 12th Century church.

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.
Absolutely lovely little bungalow. We were made to feel very welcome by our hosts and found we had been provided with everything we could need including an outside tap and hose to wash down the dog after particularly messy outings. Had a wonderful stay and found the Maltsters Studio to be an ideal base from which to explore Cornwall.S Ravelle - 7th August 2018

Great property for 2 and our dog. A brilliant place to stay. Had a warm welcome from the owners, who were always helpful. The cottage was just perfect for the two of us and our dog Lena, to explore the area. I would recommend this lovely little cottage to anyone. Mrs K Potticary - 10th July 2017

Maltsters Studio is the perfect place to stay and see all the sights of Cornwall. James and Marie are the perfect hosts and make you feel at home- would definitely stay again and we are very reluctant to go home :(. The process of booking this studio was so easy and the staff at Cornish Horizons were very helpful and friendly.Mrs B - 11th September 2015
We were very pleased with the experience of using Cornish Horizons, the owners were very friendly and helpful and as keen cyclists were very grateful to Mr Walton for taking the time to show us some good places to go. The only downside was the hills! (joke). We had a very pleasant stay. Thank you.Mr B - 27th July 2015
Spent two weeks at this cosy comfortable studio in June. It is ideal for two people. Beautiful surroundings close to Padstow and lovely dog friendly beaches. The owners are delightful and can't do enough to help if needed even though they have a young family and have very busy lives. Would certainly go back.Mrs K - 9th July 2015
