A beautiful and spacious Canadian Log Home with a balcony off the main bedroom affording delightful views across the valley to the church tower of St Issey in the distance. Stylishly furnished and well equipped, Honeywood is a spacious property for large parties. The owners have furnished with families in mind; a sitting area in the kitchen allows children to watch TV while grown-ups have a quiet glass of wine in the lounge! The character of these stunning properties makes them a really special place to stay, and wonderful for atmospheric winter evenings in front of the Cornish stone fireplace. A large decked area in front of the property allows for al fresco dining in the summer. Little Petherick is only a short drive to Padstow which boasts a number of seafood restaurants as well as a picturesque harbour and the ferry to Rock. There are footpaths from the village which lead down to the creek and then on to the estuary of the river Camel which is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. Within 5 miles are the coastal path, world class surfing beaches and championship golf courses.
This property offers a low occupancy discount of 33% for parties of 4 or fewer or 50% for 2 or fewer on full weekly bookings at certain times of the year which means that if low occupancy for 2, then you are restricted to the use of bedroom 1. If low occupancy for 4, then bedroom 3 and bed settees are unavailable. This discount is automatically applied and the holiday price you are quoted reflects this. GARDEN & PARKING: Parking for 2 cars at road level then a flight of steps lead up to large decked area with garden furniture at the front of the property. There is a balcony from the main bedroom.
Changeover Day: Sunday - arrival 4:00pm - departure 11:00am.
Pets Welcome: £25 per pet per week (nb. pets are not allowed upstairs) Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Electricity and gas included in rent; living flame stove effect gas fire lounge; gas fired c.h./hot water.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided (please bring your own beach towels).
Baby Equipment: Stair gate at bottom of stairs; other equipment not provided but may be hired - see hire page.

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

Honeywood' is an excellent property and we would have no issues on returning to stay at Honeywood' in the future. The only constructive feedback would be that the decking area where the table and chairs are located would benefit from a strong parasol, which covers the majority of chairs to keep them reasonably dry.This property is a credit to it's owner!Mr E - 29th November 2012
