This beautiful barn conversion is situated in a quiet spot down the lane from St Issey towards the River Camel Estuary. Built from Cornish stone on the side of the hill, the views of the estuary are lovely and the terrace in the garden takes full advantage of this. The cottage is airy, comfortable and well equipped and only a short distance from the Camel Trail, which follows the route of the old railway line between Padstow and Bodmin, so you are only about 35 minutes' walk to Padstow. Better still - why not bring your bikes? Much of the Trail lies beside the Camel estuary - an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and its natural beauty and wildlife is there to be enjoyed, whatever time of the year you visit.

Padstow is arguably now one of the best-known of Cornwall's holiday destinations - a working harbour still retaining the character of the fishing industry while also managing to reinvent itself as a modern holiday destination. Padstow has so much to offer the discerning holiday maker, with several beaches along the Camel Estuary, where you can also have a go at a range of water sports such as sailing and windsurfing, as well as a variety of boat trips such as fishing excursions, speedboat rides, sea-life safaris and the ever popular Jubilee Queen. You can indulge your passion for food at an excellent selection of restaurants in the town, which is now the base for a number of celebrity chefs including Rick Stein and Paul Ainsworth. If you're looking for more active pursuits, you can cycle the Camel Trail, the route of the old railway line running between Padstow and Bodmin. If walking is more your thing, there are many walking trails and routes waiting to be discovered, and if you're bringing a dog, there are plenty of dog-friendly places to explore. Gaining popularity in recent years is the Padstow Christmas Festival, now spread over four days, with cookery demonstrations, food and craft market, and entertainment.

Our self- catering holiday cottage is a detached stone built converted barn all on one level (no stairs) situated in North Cornwall.
We are part of an agency and bookings / enquiries can be made via email, fax or telephone.
Arrival and Car Parking Facilities
There is car parking space for two cars to the rear of the cottage. The area is built in Cornish Stonework with an inbuilt sign “Lotties Cottage Parking”. The base is concrete and is just four feet from the back door.
Back entrance to cottage
Go from the parking area down two steps and along a concrete path where you will find the back door. There is one shallow step up to the back stable door measuring 815cms wide. The door opens inwards to a light and very spacious open plan area that includes the dining room, kitchen and lounge accommodation. There are wonderful estuary views from the French Windows in the lounge area that open on to a front patio.
Lounge, Dining Room and Kitchen
The lounge has two brown leather settees, one to seat two and one to seat three and one winged chair. The floor has wood laminate and a warm carpet. The telephone,(pay phone) is on the occasional table along with a table lamp for easy lighting access. Television and DVD player can be found on the TV table. The dining area has an oval extending table which seats 6 people. The floor in the dining area and the kitchen is tiled with ceramic tiles. The kitchen has a fridge, cooker 910cms high with the lowest shelf being 450cms from the ground. It has a ceramic hob and an extractor fan. The washing machine sits next to the sink with the tumble drier and a dishwasher. All of these units are housed beneath Cornish Granite worktops standing at a height of 910cms. There is also a microwave oven. The wall units are mounted on one wall above the cooker and fridge. The sink is next to the washing machine and is the same height as the worktops. The fifteen paned glass door (820cms wide) leads from the kitchen into the hall that is 1200cms wide with Delabole slabs as flooring. The front door (820cms wide) of the property is on the right hand side of the hallway and further down on the left is the family bathroom.
The family bathroom has a door opening of 815cms leading inside to a sink on the left and a toilet (Ht 420cms) with a top button flush system on the right. Beyond that there is the bath with a height of 520cms. There are dark blue ceramic tiles on the floor. Past the bathroom and straight ahead is the master bedroom.
The master bedroom door is 815cms wide and opens inwards. It has a fitted carpet in the bedroom area and a double bed that is 600cms wide and 150cms high. There is a combination wardrobe unit i.e. Hanging space, shelves and drawers all in one unit, two bedside tables with drawers and a touch lamp each side of the bed, and a comfortable bedroom chair to complete the zone. All bedding is anti-bacterial to accommodate any allergy sufferers. There is a Delabole Slate window cill in front of the window. A compact en-suite shower room adjoins this bedroom consisting of a step-up shower cubicle, a basin and a toilet. The floor has navy blue ceramic tiles.
The door,(750cms wide)opens into the room. This bedroom has two single beds, (550cms height and 900cms wide) with a bedside unit with drawers complete with lamp between the beds. There is also a combination unit in this room (as before). The floor has a fitted carpet and a bedroom chair. The bedding in this room is also anti-bacterial. There is also a Delabole Slate window cill in this bedroom.
The garden is behind the parking area. It is an elevated garden, accessible by climbing up four stone steps. There is a large grassed lawn with flower and shrub borders around the lawn. A long paved path leads to the top of the garden where you will find the decked area with garden table and seating complex to seat 8 people. There is a built-in barbeque ready for use next to the decked area. You will also find a timber bench and deck chairs that are all part of the garden furniture. The coastal and estuary views from the decked area are spectacular.
