Description
A great location for a beach holiday being only 150 yards from the wide sandy beach at Harlyn Bay, this comfortable terraced house also has a sea view from the main bedroom. Because it is less than a minute's walk from the lively Harlyn Inn, you don't even need to use your car if you want a meal or a drink in the evening. Harlyn has its own surf school and there is also a beach shop and takeaway in season. However, if you want more choice, Padstow, with its extensive selection of restaurants and bars, picturesque harbour and narrow streets is only three miles away and there is also a choice of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops just over a mile away at St Merryn. For those who enjoy walking, the coastal path crosses Harlyn Bay beach and leads around to the spectacular cliffs of Trevose Head in one direction and Trevone Beach in the other.

Map
Harlyn Bay has plenty on offer for all its visitors, whether you want a traditional family beach holiday, a more active break including surfing and walking, or just a relaxing break. The beach is dog-friendly, which means that canine visitors can holiday with their families, and the cliffs either side are excellent for walkies! The beach is considered one of the most family friendly beaches in the area, with plenty of space for building sandcastles and paddling. If the kids (and those who are still young at heart!) want to try learning to surf, there are several local companies who offer lessons, and the whole family can give it a try. Nearby is The Harlyn Inn, which offers good food and a welcoming atmosphere, and is also a venue for live music, with bands playing throughout the year. There is a small local shop in Harlyn Bay, and more shops, pubs and a good choice of restaurants in nearby St Merryn. The Bay is also within a short drive of Padstow, which also has a good selection of pubs and restaurants, and of course the Camel Trail, where you can hire bikes and cycle to Wadebridge, and on to Bodmin if you're up for it.
