About Bude

One of Cornwall's hidden gems, the little-known town of Bude has much to offer. Whatever your age or interests, you'll find a range of things to see and do in this undiscovered part of Cornwall. The area has miles of unspoilt coastline and dramatic scenery from moorland to clifftops, beaches, forests and fields.  Bude sits near the county border enabling visitors to explore the delights of both Devon and Cornwall.

The more adventurous can try a wide variety of activities including tennis, cycling, paintballing, rock climbing and golfing. Why not try horse riding - an excellent way to see the area, giving you a wonderful opportunity to take in the scenery.  Of course opportunities for watersports abound, with many of the great local beaches being prime surfing, kayaking and canoeing locations.

If you prefer something more relaxing, there is also lots to choose from, including walking, a selection of cafés, historic houses and gardens such as Hartland Abbey and Pencarrow, which give a glimpse into the fascinating history of this area.  Cornish Heritage Safaris run from nearby towns, taking you on a tour of the local area with its rich history and diverse wildlife.

This delightful town really does offer something for everyone, making it an excellent place to visit.
