Description

Pippbrook is a lovely, detached bungalow set in its own grounds with accommodation all on one level. With a huge, enclosed garden, a garage for storage, three beautifully-finished bedrooms and a fabulous living/dining room, it‘s a home from home. The kitchen is very well-equipped and there is the added benefit of a separate utility room. With wooden floors, colourful rugs, oak doors and good quality fittings, it feels warm and welcoming and you are sure to have a comfortable stay.

Situated in a small village on the outskirts of Truro, Pippbrook is ideally located for exploring both the north and south coasts of Cornwall. The nearest beaches are Chapel Porth at St Agnes from where you can walk the coast path to the dramatic ruins of Wheal Coates Tin Mine and marvel at the splendid views across the bay. Porthtowan Beach is just a 15 minute drive away and is one of Cornwall’s famous surfing beaches. The village has a great pub – The Victoria Inn, as well as local shops all within easy reach.

ACCOMMODATION All ON ONE LEVEL:
Entrance into large porch
Kitchen: Electric cooker, fridge/freezer, door to Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer.
Living/Dining Room:
 Smart TV with access to Netflix, two sets of French doors to garden. Slate hearth with wood-burning stove.
Bedroom 1: King size bed (5'), bedside units, dressing table, chest of drawers, built-in wardrobe, view to garden.
Bedroom 2: Double bed (4'6"), bedside units, chest of drawers, wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: Single bed (3'), bedside unit, chest of drawers
Cloakroom: Basin, w.c.
Bathroom: Bath with thermostatic shower over, basin.

GARDEN & PARKING: Large enclosed rear garden with patio area, outdoor furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars on gravelled drive at the front. Garage with storage space for bikes, kayaks, beach equipment etc.

Changeover Day: Saturday - arrival 3:00pm - departure 10:00am 
Pet Welcome: Maximum 1 dog; £25 per week. Information about bringing your pet.
Power and Heat: Electricity and gas included in price. Gas central heating throughout. Heated towel rail in bathroom.
Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Baby Equipment: Not provided but can be hired – see hire page.

Enjoyed our week in a very comfortable and nicely furnished bungalow with excellent WiFi on the outskirts of Truro.Set back from the road it was very quiet with plenty of parking space. Very easy to get to the North coast from the location. A very good fish and chip shop a few minutes walk away and a popular pub about five minutes walk. We also had an excellent Sunday lunch at The Rising Sun in Mitchell Hill in Truro which is now a gastro pub. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Cornwall.

Lovely spacious property. very well equipped and clean. Safe, large garden for our dog and lovely to sit out in nice weather. Very quiet location although in a street of other houses and bungalows. Shops. chemist. takeaways, post office and pub all just minutes walk. Excellent pub carvery and chinese takeaway. We loved the place and could have easily lived there, lovely goodies when we arrived, very welcome. Cannot recommend this property enough, you won't be disappointed.

We stayed here with our dog and would definitely recommend Pippbrook. A beautiful, very comfortable bungalow with a large peaceful garden and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Easy to access anywhere in Cornwall and it’s many dog friendly beaches (Perranporth beach was our favourite and only 15 mins drive away. A drink at the pub on the beach, watching the surfers and sunset is a must!). A few minutes walk away is the local pub, which welcomes dogs into the bar area and the food is good. There’s also a local spar, Chinese takeaway, fish and chip shop and bakery.

The only city in Cornwall, Truro’s most striking feature is the Cathedral, with its green spire and gothic appearance, 250 foot high towers and Victorian stained glass windows. The south aisle of the cathedral is what remains of St Mary’s Church, said to be one of the finest pieces of medieval architecture in Cornwall. Its decorative style contrasts with the simplicity of the new part of the cathedral. The city's heritage is as a market town and port dating back over 800 years, booming during the tin mining era. Sat at the head of a navigable stretch of the River Fal Truro was within easy reach of the sea but more protected than Falmouth downstream.  A great location with easy access to the North and South of Cornwall.  The nearest beaches are Chapel Porth at St Agnes from where you can walk the coast path to the dramatic ruins of Wheal Coates Tin Mine and marvel at the splendid views across the bay.
