Hetty's was recently converted from a lovely old barn and now offers guests a high quality cottage getaway in the beautiful North Cornwall countryside. Situated in the little farm hamlet of Trenarlett, Hetty's is extremely comfortable with a superking size luxury bed, large powerful walk-in shower, cosy lounge with woodburning stove and big comfy sofa, well equipped kitchen and good sized private enclosed garden. Perfect for couples to enjoy both the peaceful location and all that Cornwall has to offer. Stunning scenic walks or horse riding on Bodmin Moor, walking/cycling the Camel Trail and a choice of several great village pubs to refuel in afterwards are all just minutes away. Cornwall's spectacular coast path, a huge choice of lovely beaches (many dog friendly) and all the favourite places to visit such as Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle, Tintagel, Rock, Polzeath, Eden, many stunning gardens, Haywards cider farm and award winning Camel Valley vineyard are all within a short drive. Many guests take day trips a little further, such as down to St Ives, The Lizard and St Michael's Mount as, once you are here, the whole county is really accessible and offers something for everyone no matter what the weather or time of year. See also information on Barney's Cottage, Dickins' Cottage, Ben's Barn and The Snug. Check out additional services available via the owners. All private and independent from each other, any number can be booked together for couples/families looking to holiday together but with their own spaces.

If ever there was a place to fully appreciate the stark beauty of the Cornish landscape, Bodmin Moor has to be it. With endless sweeping vistas in every direction, tumbled outcrops of granite, and inviting paths and tracks to explore, this area of Cornwall is a walker's paradise. The famous Jamaica Inn is sited here, with all its literary and historical associations. With plenty of sheep and moorland ponies wandering freely (be sure to keep your dog under control!) you can almost imagine you have been transported back to those bygone days. More recently, of course, the moor was used extensively for filming on the new adaptation of Poldark. When the dashing Mr Poldark gallops across your screen, you may well be seeing the scenery of the moor in the background. A large part of the moor has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest. This region also has its fair share of Arthurian legends, another facet which lends a mysterious air to the landscape, and an extra depth to Cornwall's rich and varied history, and of course who can forget the rumours of the Beast of Bodmin Moor? The many other attractions, including the National Trust's Lanhydrock House, the verdant and flourishing Tamar Valley, historic sites such as castles, the Bodmin and Wenford Railway, and plenty of evidence of Cornwall's mining legacy, make this area a must-see.
Very quiet and peaceful location.Mrs Judith Bolton - 1st August 2018
The best self catering property we have ever stayed in. Perfect location from which to explore both North and South coast of CornwallMr Bernard Styan - 1st July 2018
We cannot recommend this property and the owners highly enough, it is honestly difficult to choose what was the best bit about the week, however just having time to sit in the garden and relax came high on our list, Our dogs were well catered for by people who understand and have dogs themselves. The cottage décor is amazing and it had all we needed. They were very willing to advise about the local area and nothing was too much trouble. Definitely going back in 2019 (if they can fit us in).Miss teresa oliver - 3rd June 2018
The property is set in a wonderful location.Mr Paul Kerry - 30th May 2018

Amazing place, spotlessly clean, very quiet. Best accomodation/area we've stayed in Cornwall over the years. Loved every minute. The enclosed field for the dogs is perfect. Roll on next year.Mr Richard Hall - 26th September 2017
Hetty's was the perfect cottage for our week in Cornwall - a good location to tour around the beautiful countryside and fabulous beaches. The cottage was beautiful and immaculately presented. Huge comfy bed and sofa were lovely. Welcome was warm. Found the cottage ideal for a break with our dogs, with its own private secure garden and a field on the farm for morning and night walks. Hope to come back soon ...Mrs Marina Mclaughlin - 17th July 2017
Hettys is an absolute relaxing experience in a excellent area with beaches in easy reach - camel trail walks with the dog and to finish off the Kew Inn and Blisland pub for a lovely welcome drink.Ms Teresa Kritong - 23rd April 2017
Gorgeous cottage in the country- great escape from town life. We used as a base for days out to Boscastle, Tintagel, Port Isaac and Polperro (3 days away). Fabulous walks, stunning scenery. Great to have enclosed garden for the dog and such a pretty, well appointed cottage that is dog friendly. Ooh and we loved the wood burner after a long wet walk on the coast. Definitely highly recommend.Mrs Lou Harrowsmith - 23rd February 2017
Hetty's provides the holidaymaker with a peaceful and tranquil setting with easy access to wonderful beaches.
