The cottage is in a great location, a 10 minute walk into Padstow. The kitchen is very well kitted out with everything needed. Unfortunately we found the cottage very comfortable, the main bed dips into the middle so much we had to sleep in separate beds. The 2 sofas have very little comfort and support, we left after a week with bad neck and shoulRead moreders. If the bed and sofas were replaced the cottage would be excellent. holidaycottages.co.uk response:- Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry to hear you found the master bed and sofa uncomfortable, the master mattress and bed was replaced in January 2025 and a previous comment from November mentioned it was very comfortable. Lovely well cared for property with stunning views of the estuary. Comfortable bed and good quality linen and towels. Well equipped kitchen and indeed whole house. Plenty of space to eat/relax though we were only two the space was appreciated. Warm and cosy after a few wet walks! Over the years we have stayed in many rental properties across the UK, Avocets will be hard to match, highly recommended. Hide

The views from Avocets are absolutely stunning. Outdoor seating in the well kept garden also takes full advantage of this. The property is situated in a quirt part of the town but only a short walk from the harbour and the pubs and restaurants there, the ferry to Rock, and walks along the spectacular cliffs and beaches on the western side of the esRead moretuary. Bike hire, for those so inclined, is available very close by as it the the Camel Trail for both walking and bike riding inland along the estuary. Hide

This is our second visit to Avocets which is a delightful and very well equipped house in a brilliant location. Its an easy walk into Padstow and in the opposite direction the Camel Trail is great for walking or cycling. The view from the property looking across the Camel Estuary watching the flow of the tides and the changing weather patterns is aRead more beautiful. Highly recommended. Hide
