Property code: OC-L10019

This beautiful cottage is over 200 years old and is situated in West Looe, less than 200 metres from the ferry that takes you over to the shopping and eating district of East Looe. Sleeping three over two comfortable bedrooms, you’ll soon feel refreshed and ready to take on a day of exploring this wonderful part of South East Cornwall with your family. Take a 5.5-mile walk along the South West Coast Path to Polperro (5 miles by road), where the stunning sands and blue waters of the beach await you, or spend the day at the delightful Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary.

The property retains lots of original features including whitewashed stone walls, exposed beams and fantastic slate floors, helping to transport you back to when it was a fisherman’s house. There are two steps up into the cosy open-plan living area; curl up on the sofa with a good book in the evenings, warmed by the wood burner, or cook up a storm in the galley kitchen to eat at the quaint dining table. Spend warmer nights in the courtyard that’s shared with four other properties and enjoy an al fresco drink before heading to bed. Both bedrooms have tranquil, neutral decor and pretty coastal touches.

East Looe Beach (0.5 miles) is perfect for sunbathing and paddling, but make sure you visit nearby Millendreath (3 miles), Talland Bay (4 miles) and Seaton (5.5 miles) too. If you loved the Monkey Sanctuary you’ll also like Porfell Wildlife Park (8 miles) where there are lots of rescued exotic animals to meet. The Eden Project is just 22 miles away and is a must-visit for tropical plant lovers, but if you’re a thrill-seeker you can book a zip wire experience over Eden and the surrounding countryside at Hangloose Adventures on site.

Lovely cottage in the heart of West Looe right opposite an eccentric bookshop, sixty seconds from a great pub, with the fabulous Londis just up the road! Very comfortable and cosy, kept the heat out nicely. The kitchen is tiny, and not designed for tall people (my 6'3 husband kept banging his head on the cooker hood and couldn't fit at the sink toRead more wash up, and the oven door can't quite open fully!) but that's an issue with the building, and it's as well fitted into the minimal space available as anything could be. Just don't plan to cook elaborate three-course meals every night or you might get frustrated. We had a small glitch early on and the company were super responsive and helpful and got it sorted same day. A lovely holiday in a great place. Hide

Nice cottage, could do with some oven gloves but otherwise all the basics needs you might have are covered. We have a concern regarding the safety of radiator temperature in the shower room and have alerted the agency.

WiFi would be good as it was impossible to get a signal so I found it hard to make arrangements to met friends who live in other parts of Cornwall but thats more of a personal issue

Cosy cottage in great location, with a welcoming cafe just around the corner, grocery supplies close at hand and a cracking pub a short stroll away. Shower room a little cramped for headroom if you're over 6ft, phone signal is indeed intermittent and there's no wi-fi, but that's a good excuse to visit the Jolly Sailor Inn which has a 5G connection.Read more The car park is huge and to save you searching for your designated spot make a beeline for the children's playground and you won't go far wrong. Lovely cottage in a perfect location, right in the heart of Looe. We would highly recommend it and not hesitate to book again. Downside was no internet/WiFi. My husband paid 20 for 5 days WiFi through ee, however, signal was very flakey.

A beautiful little cottage tucked away in a quiet area of Looe. The place could not have been cleaner and was very tidy and well presented. The kitchen although small was very well equipped. The whole place was very warm and welcoming.

Cute. We came here in 1988. Our first time away together. We wanted to be non contactable and incognito, which we were. 37 years later we returned to find nothing had changed. Unfortunately we had changed. Almost no phone signal available, and there is no wi-fi. Its a shame, but the world has moved on a bit. However, if you want something cute and Read morecosy, away from the world, but still close to a lovely pub (jolly sailor) and walking distance to the other side of Looe for all the shops and eateries, then this is the place.
