For a truly grand holiday, look no further than this elegant old farmhouse. Originally built in the 18th century, this is a Grade II-listed building with a sense of history for all to enjoy. Located near St Merryn, Cornwall, you’ll be able to explore the coast and visit some of the county’s top spots with your family and dogs.

As you enter, you’ll find a glorious conservatory/porch with intricate glasswork, a great spot for curling up with a book or a drink. The lounge is very stately with its chandelier, leather sofas and an open fire place where you can cosy up watching all that the Sky TV has to offer. Additional natural light comes from the large windows. The last part of the ground floor is the kitchen/diner, well-equipped and finished with a coffee machine so you can enjoy delicious drinks to start your day off right. Upstairs you’ll see two bedrooms. One is a super-king room with an additional small double futon sofa bed, and then there’s a flexible twin bedroom which can be arranged as a super-king bed if requested upon booking. Outside, you’ll discover an enclosed garden with patio furniture for outdoor dinners. This property can be booked with a few similar nearby, so you can take a larger group.

This property is in a beautiful and rural area. The coastal path can be easily found and offers spectacular views of the beaches and islands. Treyarnon Bay (1.5 miles) is worth a visit, as is Porthcothan Beach (1 mile). If you’d enjoy a day in a bustling seaside town, try Padstow (5 miles) where you can amble around the shops, enjoy ice creams or find boats for sea safaris.

  • 2 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size that can be unlinked to form twins (please request at the time of booking) plus 1 additional small double futon sofa bed and 1 twin that can be linked to form 1 super-king-size (please request at the time of booking)

Cant fault this accommodation, spotlessly clean & had everything we needed. Tom & Clare were at hand if we needed them for anything. Sky TV, sports & movies were a bonus. Wi-Fi wasnt too bad, a bit hit & miss. Towels & bedding were also provided. Very peaceful location & a short walk down to the beach. The camp next door had a takeaway, shop & clubRead more. You will need a car to explore the surrounding areas but there is a bus that runs every hour that you can use. We spent a lovely three weeks there & will definitely return again. Hide

This was our second stay at Carnevas Farmhouse - a historic, fascinating property, well equipped for four people. The house is warm and cosy when the heating is needed. The two bedrooms are comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean. The shared bathroom with bath shower and loo is spacious, the towels huge and soft. The views from all the windows Read moreare lovely. The kitchen is small but well equipped, with fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, electric oven and hob, and washing machine. Tea, coffee, and cake were kindly provided for us. And plenty of supplies of washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, etc. There is a table and chairs in the kitchen. The position is super - it is a ten minute walk down to Porthcothan, to the beach, and the ice cream shop. The coastal path south is glorious, 4.5 miles to Mawgan Porth, via Bedruthan steps for a tea or lunch stop - and the bus back is bliss! The cliff walk back to the house from Porthcothan (if you want) is lovely. It is a walk across three fields to the coastal path, and a walk across to to Treyarnon is also lovely. Thoroughly recommended. Hide

This is a lovely period property with great countryside views. Spacious & comfortable, a 3 minute drive to the nearest surfing beach & cliffs paths for walking. Really well equipped. I will definitely return though personally will stick to out of season as I'm not sure if the neighbouring caravan park would be a bit noisy in summer!
