A beautiful, whitewashed cottage enveloped by mature trees and set in the sleepy coastal hamlet of St Issey in North Cornwall. This relaxing hideaway is perfect for water-loving friends and family holidaying with their furry companions. Peer into rockpools and splash through the gently sloping shoreline at Trevone Bay (5 miles), before gearing up for garden games and nibbles on the lush, enclosed lawn.

This two-storey property blends country charm and contemporary freshness. Picture low-beamed ceilings, hardwood flooring, colourful soft furnishings, and bold patterns. After a day by the sea, be lulled into the cosy sitting room by the warmth of the crackling wood burner. Flop down on the well-lived leather sofas and thumb through a local guidebook or browse the Smart TV. Venture in the lounge/diner flooded with natural light. Raise a celebratory toast then tuck into a family feast gathered around the elegant wooden table. Retire to the lounge with a sweet treat in hand or throw open the patio doors to enjoy a balmy al fresco nightcap. Keen chefs will delight in pottering in the airy shaker kitchen with a four-pawed shadow by their feet. Ascend the staircase to find three well-presented bedrooms, consisting of an en-suite double, a bright double, and a twin bedroom. Embrace the mild Cornish climate from the landscaped garden surrounded by leafy shrubs.

Saunter through the bustling seaside town of Padstow (5 miles) and scoff a bag of salty chips perched on the harbourfront or drink in far-reaching views across the Camel Esturary aboard the passenger ferry to Rock (5.5 miles). We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage, it's located in a tiny hamlet on the Saints Way. Good enclosed garden for dogs, with walks from the door. Everything you need for a comfortable stay, including comfy beds. Location was a little bit "out of the way" we had to drive some distance to the beaches and pubs. Overall though, a lovely little cottage.
