Set in a tranquil rural spot off a peaceful leafy lane, this traditional country cottage is a wonderful holiday home for couples and smaller families seeking a quiet spot in the heart of the North Cornwall countryside. Offering cosy accommodation for up to four guests, the cottage lies at the end of a short farm track, making it a secluded spot for a romantic break or a serene family getaway. Originally a stone barn, the cottage has been imaginatively converted and features exposed stonework, thick walls, original oak beams, slate flooring, a welcoming wood burner and an enclosed garden.

The light, spacious lounge has a wood burner and a beamed ceiling, and makes a relaxing space for everyone to unwind in at the end of a memorable day. With slate tiling and a central table, the dining hall is perfect for getting together to enjoy a celebratory meal which you can prepare in the beautifully equipped kitchen. The ground floor also has a refreshing bathroom. Upstairs, the first floor features a generous shower room and two delightful bedrooms: a charming king-size room and a lovely twin, each with beams in the high vaulted ceilings. Outside, the large garden is fully enclosed, with a big lawn perfect for children or pets to run about. There’s also a patio area with a BBQ, picnic table and outdoor furniture, providing a cheerful spot for whiling away a summer’s day.

Perfect for exploring the Camel Valley, the cottage is just a mile from the western edge of the wild and beautiful Bodmin Moor. Exploring the moor, walkers can head to King Arthur’s Hall, Trippet Stone Circle and Colliford Lake, all within 10 miles. Other local attractions include Carnglaze Caverns, Bodmin Jail, Lanhydrock House and Garden and Pencarrow House and Garden, all within 14 miles.

We loved Daisy Cottage, everything we needed for our stay. Quiet location but a quick drive to nearby places of interest. So comfortable to go back to at the end of the day. We have already booked our return next year and cannot wait.

Beautiful cottage, lovely large private garden. Totally peaceful and idyllic location. Having no ambient light meant being able to see the stars at night which was rather magical. A beautiful cottage in an ideal location to explore the north coast. We had everything we needed to feel very at home ( the shower upstairs is fantastic) very peaceful at night, we woke most mornings to the sound of owl's cooing which was lovely. Fantastic cottage in a lovely location. The cottage was spotless on arrival and had all you needed. Directions to cottage were spot on despite it being tucked away. The local pub (The Old Inn St Breward) is walkable but we drove due to the nights drawing in. The pub was fantastic, great food reasonably priced but beware, we needed to book so bear tRead morehat in mind as it was extremely busy. Lovely pub at St Kew also. The location of the cottage is very central, Bodmin 8 miles and the North coast around 10 miles. We easily got to most places on the South coast in under or just over an hour. Bodmin moor easily accessible and lovely walking close by. The cottage was comfortable and the surrounding area is quiet. No street lighting, but were used to that as we live in a rural village that doesnt have any street lights. I would highly recommend staying at Daisy cottage. Hide
