Sitting in a quiet rural location close to the town of Wadebridge, with views of the countryside and estuary, this family- and canine-friendly home makes the perfect base for exploring North Cornwall’s attractions and beaches. The house is all on one level and has two twin bedrooms and a stunning open-plan living space.
Thoughtfully fitted and furnished, with sophisticated interiors, this property makes a real home from home. The lounge/kitchen/diner is beautiful, bright, and light. Chat to the chef from the breakfast bar while they prepare dinner; the kitchen has everything you need plus extras like the coffee machine with a grinder. Get together at mealtimes in the dining area then chill out in the lounge, which has gorgeous views via the bi-fold doors, and a 49” TV and DVD player. Both homely twin bedrooms have attractive seaside prints on the walls and charming wooden furniture, one has a stylish en-suite shower room and there’s also a family bathroom. Heading outside, enjoy the views from the patio and communal grassed area.
Grab the lead or your bike and head out on the Camel Trail (6.5 miles), an 18-mile route which follows an old railway line between Padstow and Wenfordbridge. Head to the coast to go surfing, swimming, sailing or paddleboarding, go for a wander or simply relax. Polzeath (9.5 miles), Harlyn (8 miles) and Newquay’s beaches (from 15 miles) are all within reach. The fishing village of Padstow is worth visiting to experience some of the excellent cuisine on offer, including a Michelin-starred restaurant, and to pop into the art galleries and shops. From Padstow you can hop across the estuary on a ferry to Rock. Be sure to call in at the pub for a drink just over 150 metres from the house on your way home.
