A pretty, cottage-style contemporary house in a quiet corner of picturesque Padstow, this holiday home has lovely countryside views across to the Camel Estuary yet is within a 0.5-mile walk of the bustling town centre. Attractively furnished in contemporary style, it sleeps four guests and is ideal for a family or friends sharing. To the front is a charming, decked garden from where you can enjoy the scenic outlook. Colourful Padstow’s narrow streets offer an excellent range of independent shops, cafes and restaurants, and there is a wealth of golden sandy beaches within a few miles.

This bright cottage is spacious and comfortable. The light-filled open-plan lounge/diner has seating in soft grey, with touches of mustard yellow and splendid rural and estuary views. There’s also a coal-effect electric fire to keep you toasty on chillier evenings There is a neat kitchen and a storage room with a washer/dryer. Upstairs, there is a bathroom and two delightful bedrooms: a king-size with an outlook to the estuary and a twin. Outside, the small, decked garden has patio furniture.

Padstow’s small museum is well worth a visit to discover the story of this historic fishing port, where boats still land their catch of the day on the quayside. From here, you can embark on a boat trip to see the spectacular North Cornwall coast from the sea, with the chance of seeing marine wildlife, from sunbathing seals to the unmistakable puffins. Walk or hire a bike to follow the Camel Trail. This long-distance path is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and runs along the Camel Estuary, with lovely views all the way. This was probably the best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in (and over the years we've stayed in quite a few). Everything you can think of has been provided and the quality of all the appliances, utensils and bedding was way above that usually found in a holiday cottage. Even the little things that are often overlooked (that we always take ourRead moreselves because they're rarely provided) like dishwasher tablets, rinse aid and sundries like tin foil, cling film etc were all provided. The double bed was extremely comfortable and we slept really well. Also having up to date technology like the smart tv's and Bluetooth speaker contributed significantly to making our stay very relaxed and truly memorable. If I was rating this property I'd undoubtedly score it 10/10 Hide

Lovely clean very well equipped property in a good peaceful location, close enough to walk into Padstow but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main town centre. Very convenient for the local Tesco on the edge of town.

Comfortable, quiet cottage with lovely views. Spotless and clean, excellent quality bedding and towels. Appliances easy to use. Visitor information helpful. Steep descent and ascent into Padstow but you can take the car into Padstow in the evening for a meal and park in the harbour car park. 3 charge for two hours.

Brilliant location both for the town and the Camel trail. Cottage equipped to highest standard which ensured a very relaxing holiday. Liked the extra space of the utility room to put walking boots etc.

Bay Tree Cottage was a home away from home. It was cosy, cute and equipped with everything you might need. Tesco was a short drive away or a 10min walk. Walking distance to Padstow but it is quite steep for those that cant do it.

Perfect holiday accommodation in an ideal location. Bay tree cottage was exceptionally clean and so comfortable with high quality fittings and furniture, all really thoughtfully done. We loved the parking spaces, the fact that it was only 10 mins walk into town, the decked outdoors area, the view of the estuary and fields from upstairs, the peace aRead morend quiet and the fact that, as an end property in an elevated position, it was not overlooked and felt spacious. We've just returned from a week's stay at Bay Tree Cottage and would definitely return should we visit the area again. The location of the property is perfect and a great base to explore. It's a short stroll into Padstow and we also enjoyed the coastal path to Harbour Cove beach (our favourite in the area). We appreciated the peace and quiet of Read morethe location, and loved sitting on the deck in the early evening sunshine. The cottage itself is so well equipped and one of the best self catering properties we have stayed in. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, please do book and we reassure you...you won't be disappointed! Hide
