Padstow’s small museum is well worth a visit to discover the story of this historic fishing port, where boats still land their catch of the day on the quayside. From here, you can embark on a boat trip to see the spectacular North Cornwall coast from the sea, with the chance of seeing marine wildlife, from sunbathing seals to the unmistakable puffins. Walk or hire a bike to follow the Camel Trail. This long-distance path is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and runs along the Camel Estuary, with lovely views all the way. Glorious sand and surf family beaches nearby include Harlyn Bay (2 miles), Trevone Bay (2 miles) and wonderful Constantine Bay (3 miles).
