This rural retreat for two is located just outside the harbour town of Padstow. Surrounded by open countryside and with a peaceful garden, it’s the perfect place to switch off and relax. A short, 1.5-mile journey brings you to the centre of Padstow, with its bustling harbour and fine selection of pubs, restaurants, and independent shops. From the property it’s easy to enjoy day trips to Port Isaac, Newquay, and Bodmin Moor (all within 15 miles).
Follow the garden path to this sweet cottage. Inside, discover a bright, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with windows looking out across the peaceful surrounding landscape. Whip up a romantic dinner for two in the kitchen area, to share together at the table by the French doors, before snuggling up on one of the comfortable chairs to watch a film on the Smart TV. An open staircase leads to the king-size bedroom, which is set in the eaves (you may experience restricted head height in some areas). Completing the holiday home is an en-suite bathroom. Outside, relax in the sunshine in the enclosed front garden, or enjoy a spot of al fresco dining in the shared courtyard to the rear.
Padstow is a lively fishing port, with so much to see and do. Head down to the harbour to watch the fishing boats coming and going, or dine in one of the many exquisite seafood restaurants. The South West Coast Path passes through the town, offering picturesque walking routes to nearby hidden beaches and coves. Alternatively, hop on the ferry to visit the golden sands of Daymer Bay and the stylish resort of Rock. If you fancy exploring on two wheels, hire a bike and head off along the Camel Trail, which also passes through Padstow.
