Elope off for a romantic getaway to St Ives. This charming coastal town is great for couples with plenty of activities to try together, plus the opportunity for long walks along the beach and delectable dinners of fresh seafood. To really make this trip special, you’ll need a place to stay that’s private and nicely located, and this charming apartment is the perfect getaway.

This apartment is on the ground floor of a lovely stone cottage. The main area is a pretty living space, where you’ll find a diner, lounge and kitchen all in one. The decoration is cheerful and really welcomes you in, creating a cosy space where you can truly relax. Continue through to the bathroom with a shower for freshening up after beach days, then visit the bedroom. The whitewashed walls invoke the building’s history and the room is cool and restful, so you’ll have plenty of energy for whatever the next day brings. There is a small garden at the front with a seating area so you can enjoy the sunshine with a book or catch a moment in the evening before you turn in.

You’ll be staying on the small peninsula which joins the main town of St Ives. That means you’re surrounded on three sides by beaches and in the heart of the lanes. If you fancy swimming, surfing or enjoying the sea, you’ll be just under 0.5 miles from Porthmeor Beach, 300 metres from Porthgwidden Beach and 300 metres from Harbour Sand. Then look for art and culture in the St Ives Museum (300 metres), Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden (0.5 miles) or Penwith Gallery (300 metres). Further out you’ll find stunning coastal walks, incredible wildlife and lots of water sports to enjoy.
