This former fisherman’s cottage, located close to Padstow Harbour, is the ideal base for a small family, plus two hounds, looking to enjoy coastal walks, sandy beaches, and water-based activities.

The interior is packed with old-world charm and modern-day comfort. Wooden beams, a stone floor, and brilliant white tones sweep through the living area creating a soothing atmosphere. After a day exploring, light the wood burner in the lounge and relax on one of the plump sofas while your pup snoozes on the rug. When it’s time to eat, step through to the light-drenched kitchen and prepare a delicious family meal, which can then be served at the dining table seating four people. There’s also a bathroom on this floor. The two bedrooms are located on the first floor and feature a double bed and twin beds. The rooms are neat and wonderfully soothing with their white tones and soft furnishings. Back on the ground floor, pour yourself a cool drink and move outside to the front terrace. Featuring a table and chairs, here you can bask in the sun and take it easy.

From the cottage, it’s a short stroll to Padstow Harbour with its shops, restaurants, galleries, and cafes. For a day at the beach, take the foot ferry across the River Camel to dog-friendly Rock or Daymer Bay. Both beaches are good for swimming in the sea, kayaking, and sailing. Alternatively, jump on the South West Coast Path and explore the dramatic coastline on foot or cycle along the 18-mile Camel Trail. Both trails are right on your doorstep.

We found the cottage damp, grubby and depressing in need of a spring clean and refurbishment.

This cottage is a great location and a nice cosy setting. We were a group of 4 adults, baby and 1 dog and it was such a treat to just relax for a long weekend. One thing to mention, the slate flooring outside was a bit slippy when wet. We loved the local amenities and a night in or out was a great way to spend our time in Padstow.

Clean and warm. Very comfortable bed. Nice to have a wood burner. Small but very functional. Good location. Very dark but then it was a very wet week in February.

A lovely little cottage set in a peaceful row in the heart of the old village. The cottage was warm and well equipped with good internet. The village had plenty of places to eat out, even in January, and there were beautiful walks along the Camel estuary. Ideal 3 night stay.

Fabulous location, small and quaint cottage right in Padstow. A small garden would be ideal but the tiny yard was definitely a plus.
