Take a break away to this single-level property in a tranquil area of the Cornish countryside and you’ll have the chance to explore the pretty creeks, coves and woodland areas along the River Lerryn, 1 mile away or the River Fowey, just 3 miles away. The cottage itself has been thoughtfully furnished to create a great escape at all times of the year, from the warmth of the AGA and a wood burner for the winter months to the lush greenery in the gardens for summer.

The living room is a bright and airy space with neutral-coloured walls and pops of colour in the soft furnishings. Here, the family can gather together to spend quality time with one another by the crackle of the wood burner or sit and enjoy a film for a relaxing evening. For mealtimes, the kitchen/diner offers plenty of space both to cook and eat in the charming country-style kitchen which features a beautiful authentic AGA. Filled with natural light from the characterful dual-aspect windows, the master bedroom is furnished with a double bed and is a serene sanctuary for a good night’s rest. There is also a similarly decorated twin bedroom, well suited to children, and a cosy single room with clad walls which add character to the space. Completing the property is the stylish bathroom with a pale colour palette and bathtub where you can unwind at the end of each day. Outside, the private gardens offer a haven where you can sit and soak up the sunshine surrounded by natural beauty on the picnic bench or you can cook up a feast for a spot of al fresco dining on the BBQ.

Located just 2 miles from the town of Lostwithiel, with bustling shops and cafes and even the trainline where you can hop on and take a day trip to, St Ives, Truro or Penzance. Explore the wonderful world of plants at the Eden Project (8 miles) where you’ll find a tropical and a Mediterranean biome, as well as a whole host of activities from interactive exhibits to children’s play areas which are sure to please the whole family. Further afield, the Lost Gardens of Heligan (16 miles) offer a glimpse into the past as you wander through the magical landscapes which were only rediscovered and restored in the 90s. If it’s the coast of Cornwall you’re looking to explore, the quiet sands of Lantic Bay are just under 7 miles away with its turquoise waters backed by dramatic cliffs.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cosy cottage. It was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and very well-equipped. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, we particularly appreciated how warm the cottage always remained when we returned, thanks to the AGA cooker. The location is wonderfully peaceful and offers lovely views. Additionally, the ownerRead mores were incredibly friendly and helpful. Hide

Excellent cottage. Very clean, comfortable and well maintained by the friendly owners. It had everything we needed. Just be aware that the freezer is a fridge ice box rather than a complete unit. The cottage had a lovely garden to sit and watch the birds and relax. We were blessed with good weather.
