Crackington Haven is a fab option, or head to The lively coastal resort of Bude (13.5 miles) for wide sandy beaches. On arrival, step through the front door into a welcoming hallway where you can leave coats and shoes. The dining room is on one side and the inviting lounge on the other. Exposed character features and soothing blue shades create a warm and homely atmosphere, and there’s a wood burner housed within an inglenook fireplace to keep you warm on chilly days. At the rear of the cottage, the well-equipped kitchen provides everything needed for preparing hearty holiday meals, with a separate WC here too. The utility room is handy for hanging up soggy coats if you’ve been out in the elements countryside adventures. Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms – a king-size, a twin and a single – along with a family bathroom with a bath, shower and WC.
