Tucked among ancient oak trees within a dedicated wellness retreat, this stylish treetop cabin makes a secluded base for couples seeking a quieter Cornwall escape. Woodland paths criss-cross the surrounding countryside, while the coast is close by for days beside the sea.
Inside, the cabin has been thoughtfully arranged around an open-plan living area, with a sofa at its heart and a dining table beside French doors leading onto the deck. The reclaimed scaffolding-board kitchen is compact but well equipped for meal prep, while an electric wood-burner-style fire creates a cosy glow in the evening. At the far end, a sumptuous king-size bed sits beside another set of French doors, allowing you to wake to views of the surrounding trees. A contemporary shower room completes the accommodation. The full-length deck is the star of the outdoor setting, with room for morning coffee, leisurely meals and drinks overlooking the stream below. Woodland walks begin nearby, and guests can also book treatments and wellbeing activities at the retreat, including yoga, meditation, massages and holistic facials. Parking is available 500 metres from the cabin.
Mithian, with its 16th-century inn, is a mile away, while Trevellas Cove sits 2 miles from the cabin. St Agnes and Trevaunance Cove, a popular surfing beach, are within 3 miles, while Perranporth’s golden sands and beachfront pub are 4.5 miles north. Head south to Porthtowan Beach, 5 miles away, or make the 8-mile journey to Truro for independent shops, places to eat and its striking Gothic Revival cathedral. The South West Coast Path also gives walkers plenty of opportunity to explore the Cornish coastline.
