This two-bedroom cabin is perched on the cliffs at Freathy, with commanding sea views from its large decked area. Ideal for couples and families seeking a coastal break with beach access and clifftop walks, it sits on the Rame Peninsula, known as Cornwall's 'Forgotten Corner', and a part of the Cornwall National Landscape. The peninsula is bound by the Lynher and Tamar rivers, the Hamoaze, and the sea, with winding coastal paths along its dramatic coastline. A cliff path from the property leads down to Sharrow Beach and Polhawn Cove, while Whitsand Bay, a wide arc of golden sand backed by high cliffs and dotted with craggy rocks, stretches for 3 miles below. Swimming, kayaking, and kite surfing are all available at the lifeguarded beach (May to September). The coastal villages of Kingsand and Cawsand (4 miles) sit along the coast, and a ferry runs from there across to Plymouth.
The light-filled, open-plan living area makes the most of its clifftop position, with large windows framing the sea views. A comfortable sitting space with sofa, armchair, and rattan chair is arranged around a coffee table, with a Smart TV, Netflix and DVD for quieter evenings. French doors open directly onto the decked area, letting plenty of natural light flood through the living space. Alongside, a dining area with table and bench seating is well placed for shared mealtimes, while the kitchen sits beyond with everything needed for self-catering. A separate utility room provides laundry and additional storage space. Sea views continue into the master bedroom, which is furnished with a king-size bed with built-in storage, a bedside table, tallboy chest of drawers, and a freestanding clothes rail. The twin bedroom offers two single storage beds, a bedside table, and its own freestanding clothes rail. Both bedrooms are served by a family shower room with a walk-in shower, WC, and heated towel rail.
The spacious decked area overlooks the sea, furnished with two sun loungers, rattan sofa and chairs, deck chairs, and a large outdoor seating area – a fine spot for al fresco dining. A separate patio area offers bench seating and a gas BBQ, with a dedicated storage area for surfboards and beach gear and an outdoor tap. The outside area is not enclosed. The cliff path leading down to the beach is steep. Parking is shared with neighbouring properties, directly adjacent to the cabin and in the surrounding area.
