Watch the boats drifting up and down the River Camel from this exceptional period retreat in Padstow. Sleeping eight guests, the impressive, four-bedroom house enjoys an enviable position overlooking the picturesque estuary in North Cornwall. Take in the views as you unwind on the terrace or bask beside the crackling open fire.
Climb the stone steps to make your way inside. Gather in the lounge to light the fire, enjoy a film together on the Smart TV or gaze out at the scenery. Take your book through to the snug, where there is also a dining table, for a few quiet moments to yourself. The modern kitchen is designed for smooth self-catering and the dining room, with its sea views, is the perfect spot for lavish Cornish feasts. A family bathroom, with a luxurious spa bath, and a WC are also downstairs. Head up to the first floor to find three king-size bedrooms, all with Smart TVs and two with en-suite shower rooms and sea views. The third king-size has zip-and-link beds that can be made up as singles instead, if discussed at booking. Another family bathroom with a spa bath is also at this level. The final bedroom, a king-size with zip-and-link beds and an en-suite shower room, is set with a separate garden studio. Savor the sea air and estuary views over an evening drink to the front of the house or grill fresh seafood on the BBQ and gather round the chiminea in the garden to the rear. There is off-road parking for five cars.
Stroll 1 mile from the cottage to St George’s Cove to paddle in the sea and potter in rockpools. Go swimming or surfing at Trevone Bay, 2.5 miles away. Hire bikes in Padstow and pedal along a section of the Camel Trail.
