Enjoying a beautifully peaceful location a stone’s throw from the sandy shores of Mawgan Porth, this former barn has been converted into a cosy retreat perfect for couples and families keen to explore North Cornwall.
Retaining much of its original character, featuring a high, vaulted ceiling, gorgeous beams and beautiful exposed brickwork, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is as inviting as it is cosy. Skylights set between the original beams flood the space with natural light, whilst the wood burner sets the scene for pure relaxation. Relax on the plush sofa or at the quaint dining set to enjoy glimpses of the sea in the distance. The stylish kitchen provides everything you need to get creative. The blissful en-suite king-size bedroom boasts patio doors that lead out to a grassed area and a lovely skylight, perfect for stargazing. The peaceful king-size zip-and-link bedroom (can be made up as a twin) also features a stunning skylight. Outside, the picnic bench on the grassed area is ideal for al fresco dining. There’s also a rear garden, a gated front courtyard, a surf shower and shared table tennis to enjoy. Parking is provided for one car.
There’s no shortage of white sand, rolling surf, and coastal walks in the local area; Mawgan Porth Beach is reached less than half a mile from the doorstep. Join the South West Coast Path from the cliff-tops to Bedruthan Steps, 2.5 miles away, known for its dramatic sea stacks, or to the 2-mile stretch of golden sands at Watergate Bay, 2 miles away. Bordered by 7 miles of beaches, Newquay, 6 miles away, is a water sports enthusiast's paradise, with opportunities for surfing, sailing and swimming. From Newquay Harbour, jump aboard a sea safari to Seal Cove to spot glimpses of dolphins, seals and plenty of sea birds.
